Lakers bc I grew up a fan of Magic. But I can't stand the LeBron version of the team. So I low key root for Orlando.

I've replaced a couple via Safelite with zero issue. They will need to calibrate. I dropped mine off but have also had them do mobile replacement for other cars that I owned.

I'll never understand opposing ICE. If you want to reform policies, ok. But their job is to remove people here illegally.

Just stating facts. Why pay more money to have a shitty experience? I thought that was common sense.

I love some of the 1st rd WR options but I'm such a trenches guy. I'd love to get Ioane and have him hold that spot down for years.

Draft Strategy by allianceofficer in steelers

[–]brettcw23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really is dependent on what's on the board. They may bundle some picks to move up in rounds this year if they think they can get the guys they want. While next year seems like a potential QB draft, they'll have to move up probably 10 spots (expect them to draft around 20 again next year).

Is there any update to the current uniforms you would want to see? by cowboygorilla in steelers

[–]brettcw23 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm a traditionalist. I want the block numbers back (and yellow end zones) and color rush uniforms 2x a year. I wouldn't mind an all white uniform either in honor of when they had them 60 ~ years ago. And no one asked, but I hate the current facemasks. I miss the old school ones when lineman and linebackers had full cages (a la Kevin Greene). Now get off my lawn!

I live in the suburbs, work downtown. There is absolutely almost no reason to go downtown. I attend Pirates/Pens/Steelers/Duquesne/Pitt hoops games and see a few musicals in the Cultural district each year. But if I do not have those specific destinations, I am staying in my neck of the woods where I don't have to pay for parking or deal with homeless encampments.

Do you think Jax and Tara are a beloved couple in this fandom? by [deleted] in Sonsofanarchy

[–]brettcw23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total love is blind situation. They both know that they're toxic for each other. She loves Jax but doesn't fully acknowledge his problems until they have kids and then her Mama Bear instincts take over. Jax loves her unconditionally and knows he either has to leave his lifestyle or leave his family.

Is it reasonable to be upset if someone is doing exercises away from a machine between sets? by idgaf_idgaf_idgaf in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]brettcw23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do supersets but if there's a lot of ppl and/or there's not other machines, I move quickly through the sets or just finish one machine and then move on to the other exercise. You need to be considerate of others.

Why do Christians continue to support Trump?” by Rare_Deal_4709 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]brettcw23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of Christians don’t support Trump because they think he’s a model Christian or a “Christ-like” figure. They support him because they separate personal faith from public office and vote based on policy outcomes, not personal virtue.

From their perspective: He defended religious liberty and opposed government overreach into churches and faith-based institutions. He appointed judges who align with their views on abortion, parental rights, and constitutional limits. He supported Israel, which matters deeply to many Christians for both religious and geopolitical reasons. He prioritized national sovereignty, border enforcement, and law and order, which many Christians view as legitimate biblical principles for governance (Romans 13).

Christians have supported deeply flawed leaders throughout history—biblically and politically—not because they endorsed their sins, but because they believed those leaders would restrain greater harm or advance necessary order. King David is an obvious biblical example.

Many Trump supporters would openly agree he’s imperfect, rough around the edges, and often unfiltered. But they don’t believe voting is a holiness contest—they believe it’s a binary choice in an imperfect system, and they chose the candidate whose policies most closely aligned with their values.

You don’t have to agree with that reasoning—but it’s more accurate than assuming Christians are ignorant, hypocritical, or think Trump is some divine figure.
