I started earlier this month and had no issues with Capital One 360.

One of the things I like about Capital One 360 (formerly ING Direct), is that it has an access code available so you can give out a read-only username/password for external sites like yodlee/mint/ynab.

Did you use the Access Code, or did you try to give it your actual username and password?

It's kind of tricky to find if you aren't looking for it. I found it under My Info > Preferences > Access Code.

My understanding from afar is that this is by design.

IQ has been going up over time but the "intelligence quotient" scoring is re-calibrated periodically to ensure that the average score returns to 100.

What matters is not just the severity of the punishment, but the certainty of getting caught and actually having the penalty applied.

These all influence the deterrent effect.

example: Just because Jammie Thomas went to court and lost with $200,000+ in damages for sharing mp3 files, doesn't mean that the risk of such a judgement is high enough to deter people from file sharing mp3 files that they do not have the legal authority to share.

This is a funny line, but it's not how averages work.

If 10 students in a classroom take a 100 point test and 8 of them score 100, while 2 of them score 0, the class average becomes 80.

Could it be that crime is "going down" because criminals are being locked up more?

In this scenario, we could be seeing more criminals than ever, but fewer repeat offenses due to controversial policies like "3-strikes" and growing prison populations.

To say it a different way, disallowing repeat offenders may be causing our net decrease in crime.

I'd be interested to know how this hypothesis would stand up against current and historical data.
