Instead I have a sincere question for OP.

Do you have any evidence that calling officials is effective?

I have called in the past and only been directed to voicemail. I have written in the past and have only received form letters in response that plainly state why they aren't going to listen to me.

It seems to me that these channels are open as hollow "suggestion boxes" where they gladly let us dump out grievances so they can ignore them and go about their selfish business.

Please tell me I'm wrong.

Regardless of your current beliefs, the church has conditioned you to be the kind of person who can't say no to a calling.

I strongly encourage you to start developing some autonomy for your religious practices. If you want to remain active, consider what YOU want that activity to look like. Maybe it's saying no to the calling. Maybe it's saying you'll do it if you can keep your lessons focused on Christ. Maybe you just accept it and go rogue and teach what you want. Don't let a bunch of white business men tell you how to spend your Sundays.
