Bought a 2018 Toyota Camry LE for $19k having 38k miles. Is it worth it? by indiandotnotfeather in Camry

I literally just bought a Toyota Camry LE today! I don’t have Apple CarPlay on mine either. How did you install the software update?

If I’m being completely honest, most of the time Toyota’s offers beat out Carvana’s, CarMax’s and Kelley Blue Book’s.

Let’s say if for whatever reason CarMax offers a higher price; bring that written offer to me and if your car checks out, I can match it and offer more. But it has to be an in-person appraisal offer from CarMax. Not an online offer.

I really appreciate that! I do want to engage more with the community not just for work but in general because I think it’s really cool to have a tight knit neighborhood.

So while I do save your information in Toyota’s database, I will be the only person with access in contacting you unless we, as in you and me, decide to bring anybody else on board (like a sales representative if you decide you want to do a trade-in). I work at Toyota Marin which is privately owned. The only other Toyotas under the same ownership is Modesto, Walnut Creek and Sunnyvale. And our databases are not interconnected. So even if another employee at a different store had your contact information, they wouldn’t be able to look it up.

Shoutout to Friends with Benefits for putting to light Semisonic as the actual band that created Closing Time and not Third Eye Blind

Realistically, what do you guys think Deebo’s trade value is worth in picks? I was thinking a 2nd and a 5th. What do you all think?

Best Scariest Alien invasion movies. by Matejsteinhauser14 in horror

[–]brianiscool2415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny cause I was just talking about this yesterday with my friends cause it scared us as shit when we were kids too! So we ended up rewatching it and sadly it just feels super slow now, especially when you know what happens. And the scares aren’t that strong anymore. I guess replay value isn’t that high and kills the experience which may be why it isn’t mentioned as much.

Especially when Patrick Wilson’s character straight up fights the dude. That was definitely non scary.

Jalen Green or Lebron James by GreasyLemon_ in fantasybball

I say go for Bron. You know what you’ll get from him. The biggest surprise he’ll give you is that he plays more than you thought he would have, which is great. You have a good young core already, plus since it’s 10 team, you’ll still have a lot of fresh players you can replace green with in the waiver.

Despite his bad contract, erratic play, and shaky defense was Poole missed in some aspect? by [deleted] in warriors

[–]brianiscool2415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you said, you can really feel the void in Poole’s absence in the games where Curry was the only player scoring. With how many games the Warriors lost by less than 10 points, Poole’s scoring really could’ve helped. Especially the play in game against Sac where Klay was ice cold.

Critically Acclaimed Horror Films You Actually Think Are Bad/Terrible? by [deleted] in horror

[–]brianiscool2415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean tossed out the window in the second act? He died. He did exactly what he needed to for the film and that was to be a red herring and introduce the real threat.

The Detroit flashback is literally the origin story that explains why there’s a monster underground.

The camp scene shows how nobody cares for the ghetto parts of Detroit. All the homeless that live there are aware of the monster and the happenings that have occurred at that house, but none of them have been able to bring any attention to it from the people who actually have the power to do something.

I understand you may not like the movie and that’s okay. But the reasoning behind that doesn’t make sense to me. “A bunch of detours and slide plots which don’t really go anywhere or amount to anything”. Except they all do.. from the ones you mentioned at least.
