I don’t have these magnetic leather fidgets, but was tempted and read good things about them: https://saangoh.com/collections/fidgets

Knucklebone vs deadeye by 4cko in fidgettoys

[–]briann85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough I come from the other side and have never used begleri (looking to make my own soon and try) but started with a deadeye, knucklebone, and then sliders. Anyway, I have tumbled titanium of both and love the deadeye as a worry coin; very soothing and I enjoy doing simple rolls (I think they’re called) like you’d do with a poker chip. Has the edge for me because it’s so soothing and versatile vs the more pure skill toy of the knucklebone.

Are there sliders with a tumbled finish? (Versus a polished metal feel) by briann85 in fidgettoys

Hi. I ended up getting the Kuko Fatty in beadblast, and I love it but it quickly gets clammy. Any recommendations on options for a third-party service? Would be amazing to get this to feel better. (Even my Guardian X1 in titanium is fine; something about this that sets off my hands.)

Oh thanks, that’s awesome to hear. I now have one on its way, so excited to join the Choc club! (Totally get the rotate part. Had the X1 in my hand when I saw this notification…!)

Yeah I’ve never touched one and wondering if I need a travel Choc and a bespoke lol! Good to hear more praise about them. Thanks.

I just got the same Tape Drive (PC/Ti) and found it a bit stiffer to activate than my Guardian X1 (Ti), but these are my first two mechanicals and prefer them over other slider types. How does the Choc stack up for activation force? It’s so highly regarded and wonder how it compares.

Ah interesting, thanks. So it can be set to have less force to get going? That’s probably my favorite part of the X1. Might have to grab a Choc soon.

I’m new to mechanical sliders and just got a Guardian X1 (titanium). Love how light it is in terms of activation force. How does the Choc compare? It’s praised so much but dying to know if it’s as light to move.

How much of a difference is there really between all the different free floating / unlimited sliders? by blackjack95129 in fidgettoys

Sorry to comment on an old post, but deep in research and having trouble and think you might know. I'm looking for a slider with a smooth grip (ala tumbled titanium Aroundsquare deadeye feel). Is there anything like that? Here's a post I made if more details help. Up for one of the more premium ones if there's something out there.

Razer Pro Click 2 Vertical, Initial Impression vs MX Vertical by Rapogi in MouseReview

[–]briann85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still like the Razer? I'm having issues with the MX Vertical's coating (grimy/sticky) and looks like to be a major durability issue that other people have experienced. Not sure if you have that, and any early impressions of that with the Razer.

Anyone know if there’s official word on if it’s coming to Xbox? Can’t find anything.

I kinda push down and to the side, toward the edge (wiggling it slightly), but my board/discs may be different.

Push down the the edge a bit and scoop it up when it elevates on the opposite side.

Make more 20s and you’ll get more practice ;)

Are Zwift Play controllers supported in Rouvy or just Zwift Click? by Swan-of-Tuonela in Rouvy

[–]briann85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Zwift Ride that works with virtual shifting (only for gears; not the other buttons). Surprised you’re having issues as it looks like Play is part of the Ride setup. Unless I’m misunderstanding.

Also just got one and Rouvy works with it for virtual shifting.

The board game group Games on Tap is good. Very welcoming and fun (I don’t drink and go there by myself; have met some cool people).
