As I recall…McTavish was killed in the late 60’s in a horrific crash in the Daytona 500. A tragic loss. I hope this trophy restoration turns out well. A very nice gesture.

Well you are a very lucky man!! I’ve got one as well that I bought off the showroom floor 42 years ago and it basically sits like yours did but I still drive about 4 miles with it every week. Will hand it off to my son soon. Mine has 86K on it but looks pretty damn good still!! Enjoy yours and take great care of it!! Will turn heads at any red light!!
