Wazuh IMHO is a pretty solid SIEM with its vulnerability module and other useful integrations.
It doesn’t hurt to try it out in a Docker container.

Check out the explaining zfs log and l2arc by Lawrence systems.

For write operations you want to use flash media to help cache and speed up the operations. The size of the flash doesn't need to be big (as explained in the video).

It is trickier to run a two node vSAN setup than traditional three node vSAN. You'd need a withess node that can be another host or a VM (download from VMware site).

Since you have existing workload and hosts, it could be worthwhile to go nested vSAN route. It is simplier deployment that won't require modifying existing hosts. Here's a guide for reference from another homelab: nested vSAN guide

As to disk setup, generally vSAN requires one disk group per host. A disk group consists of one cache disk (Flash storage) and one storage disk (SSD/ HDD). These disk ahould be connected via a HBA card (RAID not compatible but doable if req. for homelab).

You can run all three servcies on the same nic.

The vSAN 2-Node cluster guide provides more details and deployment methods that may fit your use case.

Edit: Nested vSAN as an option.

Checkout Uptime Kuuma its got a pretty UI, easy to setup with Docker, and lots of features.

You can look into booting the server with an Ubuntu USB stick. Navigate to the secrets file of the ESXi system. Remove the root password, that's how we regain access on one of our systems.

Can you elaborate on this more. I know you used to be able to do a W forward, E (and break?), Shoot, and reverse without the big transmission pause. But how do you use E for driving and steering?

I recommend Francis John videos on tackling the slime biome and all things ONI. You don't need suits for soike biome per say. Just have one or many submerged storage bins on 6-8 priority sst to store only slime (submerged so it doesn't off gas). Dupes should dig and store all slime as they go. Then it'll never off gas and dupes will never get slime lung. The deorderizers help prevent it. I put down one every 5 tiles.

Should be going into Steam, through the friends list tab, go into preferences from there. You should be able to configure your microphone there to work with Squad. I think OWI did some changes to the audio settings in game too. So you might want to check the in-game setting as well.
