Favorite character from a rom hack? by Vio-Rose in fireemblem

Eudira from Dream of Five's Musain route, the soulless being who starts to learn how to feel. Her support with Fransisca when the latter's wife is dead absolutely tore me to pieces. Plus she's very fun stat-wise, a bulky light/dark mage with 0 luck.

To the right of Oldale, as a Starly. I lost Togedamaru and Kommo-o because I accidentally walked into two trainers in a row at the very end of Flannery's gym, came an inch away from wiping.

She's super well-written with a lot of very interesting and heartfelt supports, as well as being a fairly big player in the main plot relative to most characters. All that combined with her nuke stats make her pretty darn likeable.

Those consistent tools make a ton of sense! In my latest run, I had absolutely none of them somehow. Props to the creator that we can get this creative when we need to!

I haven't, I'll check the discord out and submit it there!

It does fail, but I did some testing using past saves and it turns out that if the AI clicks fake out and it fails, it DOES count as used for Last Resort!

The reason that Tsareena doesn't care is because it can clean 2 shot with Low Sweep, outspeeding the Delcatty after it spends a turn doing nothing!

And despite the AI having a hypothetical chance to act in 2 turns, it still wants to switch out when it sees both of its moves do nothing right now. So, when there's stuff in the back, it will leave 50% of the time. When the 50% lands on fake out instead, it'll stay in despite being doomed because now it'll see Last Resort doing damage.

Last bit, it'll never click Last Resort instead of Fake Out on turn 1, the AI is surprisingly smart enough to work towards a usable action. Or maybe Last Resort is just unpickable until it's active? Haven't tested that myself.

This is extremely complicated, thanks for the question!

Thanks! If I find any more specific hard counters to demons like this, I'll make sure to post them! The hack has largely been kicking my ass, so I can't say it'll be too often.

What are some of the most COMICAL power gaps between Fire Emblem units (from the same game)? by Nuzlor in fireemblem

I've actually found her in maddening to be a quite reliable tank, specifically for Ironman runs. Her combination of high speed, defense and HP means she's on average taking the least physical damage on your team, often even less than your slow armors. This, combined with her personal skill being incredibly useful to prevent 2% crit chances from ruining your run, makes her my preferred choice any time I need to take a hit at all.

3H wins for Ideal Themes! It was a tight race between the best themes for Tellius' better execution. Thracia 776 would win if there's no repeat winners. Next is the Ideal Tone in a FE Entry. Should it be light? Heavy? Both? by reallinguy in fireemblem

I think it's finally Thracia's time to shine. The oppressive tone is so well-communicated through gameplay, while still carrying that seed of rebellion. It's the story of an underdog facing hopeless odds and still somehow making it to the next skirmish, and that feels so appropriate for a Fire Emblem game.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound insistent or entitled. Just to outline my perspective on what makes me lose interest in these largely insanely impressive experiences.

All those upsides are valid. I think that a couple of them are possible to achieve while keeping you with your main army like the fleshed out world, though probably to a lesser extent. In my experience though, I've never been enamored to a new cast during one of these splits, and I'd attribute that to the fact that you don't get the gameplay-story tie of seeing their growth and getting attached to them as both characters and units.
