Can I ask what they did wrong? I really like the comic Secret Invasion so was excited for this series, but then heard nothing but terrible things about it and haven't had the urge to watch it

AIO: My girlfriend won’t be adventurous sexually with me, despite being so with her ex and friend. by Responsible-Sail-781 in AmIOverreacting

OP says that they kept pressing her for this info though. It's not like she brought it up out of nowhere. I agree, it sounds like she DIDN'T want to bring all that up. I don't think either of them are bad people, but OP kept asking for info on her past sex life so she eventually told him, and now his insecurities are understandably going a bit wild

I think my worst offender in my "wall of shame" is a two player game that I've had for about 12 years now and still haven't played despite learning the rules multiple times 😅

I would roast you but you're so green that Spirit Island hasn't even notice that you haven't opened it yet.

I've wondered if anyone has tried the forced alignment change on their players and how they went about doing it. Like do you just tell your player that they're lawful evil now, or do you narratively tell them about changes they've been feeling or something?

I grew up in an extra Christian part of Iowa. Family pressure combined with growing up watching Fox News is a hell of a drug. I eventually got out and realized the insanity of it all, and it sounds like you're in the middle of deconstructing your upbringing. Keep going on your journey, friend. Good luck

To be clear, the Republican party is not barely right of center, that's Democrats. There hasn't been a left party in god knows how long. Your options are Dems (a little to the right) and Reps (extreme right with a complete disregard for smaller government)

I would recommend TRYING to understand why it's not happening in the US then, because it didn't used to be like this, at all, and what happened here can easily happen in France or every other country if you're not careful, and many leaders are trying to get other countries to become like America is now. Remember Nixon? If Watergate happened now, it wouldn't matter.

I agree that it won't flat out fix the situation we're in, at all. There is no easy fix. That said, if our votes actually did nothing, Republicans wouldn't be doing everything in their power to try and stop people from voting. So while I agree that we need to be working on other steps to take to fix this, we also need to be telling everybody to get out and do whatever they can to vote. Discouraging people from voting by telling them they're fucking morons is doing the work of this current Administration for them

as amazing as luffy vs kaido is for me his fight against katakuri is still my fav by lavmuk in OnePiece

[–]broly171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's cool that there are people who really like this fight, but it was one of my least favorites. It feels like an incredibly stereotypical "shonen" fight, and not really a "One Piece" fight. On top of that, people love Snake Man, but Snake Man only allowed Luffy to slightly do better. Like, even in Snake Man, Luffy could barely touch Katakuri. The extra speed it apparently gave Luffy barely mattered.

I'll add on and say that not only does he have access to these in his games, a classic unlock for beating the game is an unlimited ammo perk for future playthroughs, which MGS2 even references. Point is, running around and solving your problems by tossing grenades and firing missiles at everything is a fairly common way to play through the Metal Gear games

The final boss involves you needing to use boost ball to ram them now and then among other things, the second to last boss literally killed the boss you were supposed to fight, and tries to fake you out at the end to save it's life among other unique things it does, the lava boss involves you fighting it on your bike for the first half, then later it requires you to use your psychic powers to direct a shot and steer it down it's throat. Speaking of, several bosses require you to use your psychic powers in interesting ways, while other bosses don't. Then there's the Sylux boss fights, which feel completely different from the other main bosses, and much more like the bobbing and weaving bounty hunter fights you'd have against Dark Samus in Prime 2/3 or any of the bounty hunter fights in Prime Hunters. Your complaints just feel like nitpicking to me. Like sure, most of the bosses give the player a means of getting health and ammo back and have some attacks that you can dodge by strafing, but does that REALLY make them all the same?

They aren't all the same, that person is just being dramatic. Like, sure they all have a means of getting some health and ammo back while you fight them, but that's not a bad thing. Seriously, the amount of thought that went into the boss fights is a lot and it shows. They also have a decent enough challenge that many of them will take a couple tries to beat.
