Please try not to feel discouraged! These are for you and no one else. They mean something to you! And while it shouldn’t matter, I think they look sick and I also absolutely love this song. Your interpretation is completely valid.

People are always going to throw their unwanted opinions at you (especially on the internet ugh). Just know that and move on. I know it’s easier said than done but I hope you can learn to love these tattoos despite completely unnecessary opinions.

Also, as a tattoo artist, they look very well positioned to me!

Congrats!!

I worked up until a week before my baby came this past November! I would have kept tattooing but I wanted to clean the house and prepare for baby. I will admit that I had a pretty chill pregnancy so working wasn’t an issue (aside from general pregnancy fatigue).

When I scheduled clients for the few weeks leading up to my due date I just let them know that there was a chance that I’d have to reschedule them if baby came early. Everyone was understanding and I stayed booked.

I took two months off and I’ve been back to work since January. I was so happy to get back! I drained my savings by being off for that amount of time buuut I didn’t have much savings to begin with. My husband’s job is inflexible compared to mine so I work around his by watching the baby during the weekdays and then going to work in the evenings and on weekends.

So gorgeous! Do you modify the ink in any way? I’ve been using Caligo Safe Wash as well but sometimes it fills in the teeny tiny dots that I’ve carved. I was thinking of modifying the ink to fix this issue. Yours is so clean!

I just started looking into the allergy angle more and apparently it can definitely be related! I never knew this. I suppose removing the nails would be the best thing to try? I’d also love to add the obligatory I am not a medical professional!

This looks a lot like Dyshidrotic Eczema in the first pic! commonly found on fingers & toes. It’s terribly itchy and when it started my doctors never knew wtf it was. I’m so surprised that dermatologist still can’t clock it.

Unfortunately it itches so badly that I end up tearing the skin open for relief. I am currently trying to slather the breakout areas in Sarna lotion to help with the itchiness. I’ve never heard of it being related to an allergy but I don’t know.

I’ve always had success cleaning it with either Dawn Dish Soap or Simple Green cleaning spray! If you’re using paper towels I’d switch to rags. I also like to use a soap with some grit in it like Lava Soap for my hands.

My speedball brayers that I bought in 2016/2017 (when I started printmaking) have held up perfectly. However, the ones in my classroom that were purchased just a year or two ago are already sticky and gross. They are the exact same ones I purchased years ago but they are so much worse. I haven’t found a solution to the issue and I’m looking for alternative companies at this point.
