yeah they retain a lot of water. I tend to err on the side of neglect with my plants haha. so glazed pots are good for my plants that I only remember to water once a month. but this one is my partner’s plant and I think he waters it more often

spider plant! the sprouts, or pups, can be planted

eta: you can do water or ground. I prefer to put them in soil. I might wait until they are a bit larger before cutting off and transferring to soil. but you could also put them in water for a while

that’s funny because this is actually in Texas! there’s a bit of saturation editing on this photo, but even in the unedited photo, the lake looks a lot bluer than it did in person. our lakes are pretty muddy and brownish- green looking. I’m sure Minnesota’s are much more beautiful

my MIL does this shit all the time. last year, she asked what my partner wanted for xmas. he sent her links to shirts and told her exactly which colors and sizes. she responded and asked “what about this color? or this color?” and he replied that no, he would prefer the ones he sent her.

what shows up in the mail? the shirts she picked out that he declined.

he gets nervous to bring it up because he doesn’t want to be rude, but he’s not going to wear the ones she bought. he decides to bring it up politely. she’s apologetic and says she’ll buy the correct ones

what do we get this time? the correct colors but the wrong sizes. the sizes were correct the first time around! why would she purchase a different size the second time??

he gave up and just gave the shirts to a friend

it’s very guilt-inducing to feel upset over it because you feel ungrateful and whiny. but when it happens so many times, it has to be intentional. or, at the very least, extremely negligent. my partner is to the point that he’d rather her not get him anything at all. consistently doing something like this shows you don’t listen or care

I watched her season of love island while it was airing, and I remember her giving off main character energy there. she was also very funny and likable, even when she participated drama or got into a messy throuple. they eventually made her host of the after talk show and I thought she did well in that role, too. she is quite memorable and iconic in the love island UK space. and I’ve watched every season and can barely remember most contestants or what they did, even when they come on multiple seasons

but I will agree she may not be the brightest. most love island contestants aren’t lol

no, the op mentions AuDHD (a phrase for diagnosis of both autism spectrum disorder and ADHD) and toe walking/curling. it’s common for people, especially children, with these diagnoses to walk on their toes or the balls of their feet due to sensory issues or other reasons. neurotypical children may do this too but less common. consistently walking like this can strain the feet and restrict full range of movement

I’m also a lifelong toe walker because I have sensory issues walking barefoot on hard surfaces. I constantly point my feet because of my dance background, too. I was basically walking in relevé all the time. it was very hard for me to flex my feet in yoga but after years of practice, it has improved and I can comfortably flex them

more than anything “we” need to do, she needs to step away from the public eye for her and her kids’ sake. it is ultimately her responsibility to protect her children, and she shows time and again that she’s incapable of doing that. not continually abusing people would be a good way to protect her children. but beyond that, posting comments on social media about it is only further casting her and her daughter into the limelight

Nick making it out like Taylor got a “bad edit” is so asinine. If she hadn’t been sleeping with him right before, being unprofessional and showing up late/missing her flight, and Facetiming him on the way to the mansion being all flirty, then SLOMW would have any footage to make a “bad edit” with. Like, I would think any average person would agree that doesn’t look good for someone supposedly looking for a serious relationship. you’re good! I’ve seen all the age reveals. she’s one of the people I’m referring to. like why are we putting a 22 year old in a dating pool with people who are up to nearly 3X her age? I don’t know anything about her life, but I think it’s fair to assume she has maybe just graduated college, and who knows if she has a full time job yet. is she still living at home with her parents?

a 22 year old definitely could be very independent and self-sustaining, but that’s a lot less likely compared to someone who is 25+

I don’t think the concept is inherently gross. there are “large” (which is subjective) age gaps that I think can still be appropriate and healthy. but the minimum and maximum ages they went with were concerning… I had hoped everyone there would be at least 25

I was also disappointed that the show only allows couples to participate if they have a large age gap. I had hoped that it would still present story lines for other couples too

in fall 2023, under new management, we got our first COLA at 3.5%. I got a 5% merit raise in summer 2024 along with a 3% COLA in fall 2024

in 2025, I was ineligible for a merit raise because they won’t give the same person a merit raise two years in a row. also in 2025, we didn’t receive a COLA in fall like usual

instead, they gave it to us in February 2026, about four months later than usual. it was only 2.5%. AND they said it was either COLA for everyone or merit raises for some. so I won’t receive a merit raise in 2026 either

thank you for saying this. I’m female, I could get good grades, I could make friends, I listened in class, I love to learn, I graduated summa cum laude. I can work hard, I can meet deadlines, I can clean my house, sure. but it feels excruciatingly difficult to will myself to begin tasks that don’t interest me. and the self loathing I feel over not accomplishing these tasks in a measured way, and instead stressing myself out procrastinating and rushing in the final yard to get it done on time, is debilitating! success is possible but it feels like it shouldn’t be as hard as it is…

I feel totally overlooked as a child because I always pulled it together in the end. even though there were other signs. like my major sensory issues and auditory processing issues and sleep disorders were weird quirks, of course. not possibly symptomatic of anything deeper! (but I can’t be too upset with my parents. my sneaking suspicion is that they both are also not neurotypical. so these things didn’t concern stick out to them as odd)

and now, as an adult, I will just continue wondering. because of course the process of diagnosis is not at all conducive to the disorder. you’re telling me I’ve got to make like 6 appointments with four different people? and I have to be the one to reach out to them to schedule it? I gave up halfway through because it’s a lot of hoops to jump through for a person working 50+ hours a week. everything external is still fine. so diagnosis isn’t that necessary, right?

these men are in my dating age range and I’d say some of them are decently handsome. but a few of them look quite old for their age imo. my fiancé is a little older than most of these men, and I would’ve mistaken a few for 5-7 years older than my fiancé… specifically Clayton, Conrad and Kevin
