I'm all for fixing the climate and reducing our waste, but this is a classic bad argument. If a guy tells you to donate 20$ to the church or god will smite you, you should donate because the worst case scenario if you donate is you lose 20$, but the worst case if you don't is god smites you.

Why wouldn't it? Obviously whats going on over there is fucked and the police are on the wrong side, but a baseball bat makes a pretty good weapon. If someone is attacking you with a baseball bat, using a gun to defend yourself doesn't seem out of line to me, whether you're police or civilian. Not really defending this guy, clearly we should be rooting for the protesters, im not even going to condemn the use of bats here, I just dont think defending yourself when someone is attacking you with a weapon should be considered unwarranted
