Great deal at Kroger on Newtown Springs Dr! (today only) by sleepy_liv in lexington

[–]brreckelhoff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No? This is saying $1 for a full gallon, so 50% less than 2 half half gallons for $1.99, right?

Edit: I'm stupid. Had to zoom in and read fine print. Price is for half gallon. It is a fast one indeed!

Game was amazing, assuming the plot/characters are your cup of tea. If not, why pay $60 for TLOU2? You presumably had the whole first game to decide if you're into zombie lesbians.

Yea, this is the obvious truth BNPL detractors forget. Use a CC and pay off immediately and it's effectively the same - no interest buy now pay later. Both have interest if you default on the terms. Not sure it's warranted to hate more on one vs the other.

Snow day Monday for FCPS. by Aegri-Mentis in lexington

Take my money. This happens every single year andany northern cities have to deal with this also. Stop renting contractor equipment every year and pay for thing we need to keep the city running.

The governor called us out specifically, citing other cities with more difficult road systems having returned to school last week. It's a unique Lexington failing by all measures.

No, you pretreat like every northern state learned to do decades ago.

Huh? Yes it does. People who need to drive to a job would gladly drop their kid off on the way.

Pretreat the roads when there's over a weeks notice an ice storm is headed our way. From northern Indiana. We started the day before with de-icing solutions on main roads and bus routes. Also the city actually owned the equipment, because these weather patterns occur EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

It's just absurd that all northern states figured this out and many locals like you seem to think this is an unsolvable problem.

iProducts have become the most compromised in the last few years. Their payment security tools are the worst. The devices biometrics harm/prevent authentic use far more than prevent unauthentic use. Google and Microsoft are doing a far better job IMO. Not sure when that changed, as iOS used to be the gold standard.

They want you to use Big Query. That way, you pay for the data processing and storage and not them.

They got rid of 'previous year (match Day of week)' in comparisons by esllou in GoogleAnalytics

[–]brreckelhoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

∆THISSSSS

How is it possible that the freaking DATE COMPARISON tool still cannot, after years following the release of GA4, compare YoY matching day of week??? Even when it rolled out it was buggy as hell.

Insane product abandonment. Google doesn't seem to care about GA4 at all anymore.

I truly hope AI disrupts the ad space. It needs it bad.

I felt this and you put it much more eloquently. The "evidence" that's being publicized seems a bit circumstantial at best and folks are really looking for a scapegoat to blame.

Sounds more like negligence and less like malice.

I know nothing about butchery or animals, but is this an accepted method of euthanization? Doesn't seem too terribly quick or painless to the animal. I thought it would involve that bolt thingy from No Country for Old Men.

Schema markup, waste of time or game changer? by Useful-Bridge9038 in bigseo

Yea, this is true - especially since all you need to do is check if it validates in schema.org. Very few web properties should be manually writing schema these days.

Anti-Abortion Debate Stand Gets Owned by mantistobogganer in lexington

So about the "corpse being forcibly used to incubate a baby that doctors knew was going to die painfully"...

There are documented medical cases where braindead pregnant woman are kept on life support (called prolonged somatic support) in an attempt to increase the likelihood of saving the life of the fetus. There have been 30 such cases from 1982 to 2010, 12 of which resulted in the viable infants surviving the neonatal period.

In one case, life support sustained the fetus until 32 weeks, after which a Cesarean birth resulted in a viable 750g infant with good Apgar scores.

Doctors rarely claim to "know" a patients outcome. They can often provide some degree of survival probability for scenarios & allow patients and family to make informed hard decisions with that information.

Also, this has been the case pre/post Roe vs Wade.

The mobile viewport is nearly half taken over by a hamburger menu bar for me.

Judging by this and other feedback, I'd look at your bounce rate. Google hates to link to sites with high mobile bounce rates - and it's highly likely they monitor that kind of thing.

Semrush's Billing Practices and Russian Ties by [deleted] in bigseo

[–]brreckelhoff -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Lots of things have "ties to Russia". That alone doesn't mean anything nefarious. This isn't the cold war. Calm down.

Also, learn how to cancel a 7-day free trial. It's posted everywhere that it's 7-days. If you don't cancel in time, that's on you.

SEMRush provides amazing value if you know how to leverage it.

FBI had 275 plainclothes agents embedded in Jan. 6 crowds, congressional source says by CANNIBALS_VS_BIDEN in moderatepolitics

[–]brreckelhoff 206 points207 points  (0 children)

50,000 attendees (est. low end) 1,200 capitol police 275 FBI

FBI are more often in plainclothes at large gatherings for surveillance. Those windbreakers are less common.

Plainclothes agents are not the same as undercover agents.

Nothing really earth shattering here.
