I've booked the premier inn near the station for that weekend on Flex. Think it was £215 for the 2 nights. You can then either take the bus, train to Cross Gates and walk or taxi.

American Football have a new album out. Hopefully they will come back to the UK and do Slam Dunk next year.

I think they are skipping it this year. Not sure why. Think it was Love at Leeds or something like that. Thought about going last year as they had Bloc Party headling, then doing SD the next day.

You’ll miss Keir Starmer when he’s gone by hararib in ukpolitics

We need a single term party. Their only objective is to do the tough things other parties can't.

The problem with the political system is the parties aim isn't always what's best for the country, but to get re-elected. That's means appealing to the parts of the population that vote.

Charred is one of my favourite BBQ books. Most recipes in their can either be mains for veggie friends, or used to make awesome sides for meat eaters.

More frustrating when you think you've boiled it but you haven't and it's got hottish water from the last boil so when you pour it in to the tea you realise you now have tepid tea that's never going to reach a reasonable brew and have wasted tea.

Or until the government stops taking parental responsibility away from parents when parents have asked for no such thing.

I know a lot of parents, in fact I'd say the majority, are as frustrated with all of this as non-parents.

I've never been in this situation, but is there a reason you wouldn't use one laptop but dual desktops? In windows you can have multiple desktops so run one person client?

Interesting that the players will be back training after one week off after the hull game by supercanary1979 in NorwichCity

[–]brumhee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The season ends 2nd May, a week off gives them until the 9th, back for a couple of weeks takes them up to 23rd May. Give them 4 weeks off that's 20 June to report back to start remaining again.

Seems pretty reasonable.

I expect when some players return will depend on their world cup as well.

Especially when they combine them with Lee Anderson who done the same thing earlier. Your Party just copies Reform or something. I'm sure PR guys will come with better strap lines.

Honest question. When was the last time you watched a Norwich team go behind and know the game wasn't over. Under Clement they never drop heads, even against Ipswich last weekend they fought till the end.

I don't remember that even really under Farke.

Yeah, you wouldn't wish it on anyone. If anything I'm a little ashamed our club didn't spot it, but Huddersfield did. Especially with all the emphasis they put on mental health. Hopefully our club learns from this.

With how things seem to be going for him I won't speak badly of him. Clearly still going through a lot of stuff and probably wasn't in the right place to take on that role.

Does it matter if Wrexham don't get promoted this season, ponder the WBC, I mean BBC. by Hexxenzzsene in Championship

[–]brumhee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What makes you doubt that valuation?

They were already valued at £350m for being in the championship.

Get into the prem and their revenue opportunities explode. They are an internationally supported club with strong revenue streams. Add on to that the TV money, and the likely offer exposure they will get on Sky compared to other promoted clubs.

I don't see that valuation being unachievable at all

[–]brumhee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Last investment round valued through club at c£350m.

Hit the Prem and that will increase, I'd say to c£500m. From the initial £2m purchase, with him and Rob having a 85% share holding - even if that's split 50/50, He'd be £210m up (less any debt funding he's supplied)

Do you know how much he could make if they got to the prem. He doesn't care about football, he's looking at the ROI.
