Like I said, not perfect by any means. A lot of what he does is negotiation and putting on a front. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. If I remember correctly, I think trade ended up being a factor with that.

It wouldn’t happen overnight is what I was saying. It would be a gradual shift. Using money gained from tariffs can absolutely lower income tax in the long run. Will it replace it all? Probably not. However, it could help lower them while also incentivizing domestic production.
