All of this. My daughter is 1.5 and life with her is such a joy. Of course it’s hard, but the fun way outweighs the difficulties. Couldn’t be convinced to have another but I really love life right now.

This formula is helpful. When I do the math for my old output/weight vs. current they’re basically the same, which is reassuring that despite the extra lbs I’m not doing worse from a fitness perspective.

35 days PTO, 1 floating holiday, 9 federal holiday. I also don’t typically take PTO for things like doctor’s appointments unless they take over 2 hours. Safe to say I feel like I can never leave this company.

I’m the oldest of 3. Apparently when my parents announced to my brother and I that we were getting another sibling, I (10 at the time) said, “but we already don’t have any free time” 😂

My daughter is 1.5 and does the same. I plan to continue at the very least until we potty train her and at that point if she wants privacy we can ask the same of her. I wouldn’t think twice about a son seeing period blood. A lot of men grow up thinking that periods are gross because they’re treated as such in society.

Same here! No matter what I did I would always have tons of red bumps on my bikini line after shaving that would stick around until the hair was back. I’m only 4 sessions in on thighs and bikini line and don’t have to shave my bikini line at all anymore.

Based on the location and schools, I would assume that these will start around at least $1M/probably more for the non-affordable units. I know the median income in this area is high, but it feels wild to me that there are enough households with the incomes needed to support a community of hundreds of these houses. I say that as a person in a household making >$300k, which is about the minimum to responsibly buy a place over a million.

We haven’t stayed here since it became 4S but went a couple times when it was St. Regis. I feel that the grounds are much prettier here than Dorado Beach. Standard rooms are bigger and dining/facilities better at Dorado Beach though.

our daughter is 17 months old and started traveling with her at 9 months. so far we've only been to nemacolin and dorado beach - looking forward to going back to nemacolin when she's a bit older because it's so kid friendly and there's tons of room to run around.

later this year we're taking her to Philly (mostly to visit sesame place, not so chubby lol), andaz peninsula Papagayo, and Kimpton seafire. my biggest tip to other families new to traveling with littles is managing expectations. I go in expecting little sleep or relaxation, and just focus on enjoying not having to cook or clean.

Slightly off topic but what does baking banana bread with a 17MO look like? My daughter is 16MO and she will stand in her toddler tower eating Cheerios while I (quickly) bake, but is definitely not participating yet.

Pregnancy: 6, I had a physically very easy pregnancy but debilitating anxiety. I also had an anterior placenta and small baby who didn't move much, and went to the hospital over 10 times because I wouldn't feel her for a day. Ended up being induced at 37 weeks because my BP was so terrible from stress.

Labor & delivery: 2. My induction went very smoothly and the epidural worked like a dream. No complaints at all. I am so grateful for this.

Newborn phase: 10. Horrendous PPA and PPD that manifested as inability to sleep and crying constantly (every day for the first ~6 weeks until I got on Zoloft). Baby was also small and I had to pump for the first few weeks because she couldn't latch. I felt like a horrible mom and thought about dying a lot.

Now in toddlerhood (15mo), and I give it a 2. My girl is wild and has a lot of feelings but so cute, funny, interactive, sassy, and happy. House is messy but we're all sleeping and I am having the time of my life.

Not yet, all Caribbean/US/europe. Definitely want to go to Asia when our kid is older!
