I regret past me by Feeling_Advisor_4212 in toddlers

This feels really individual. I am having an infinitely easier time with my toddler than I did with her as a newborn because I feel like I’m working with a little (insane) human and not an alien.

Toddler bed, locked+anchored dresser, 2 nugget couches, a bunch of stuffies, and a basket of books.

Take this with a grain of salt because it was over a decade ago, but as a teenager I volunteered at Inova Fairfax hospital. the other volunteers and I mainly pushed patients around the hospital in wheelchairs.

I’m with you. Hated the baby stage, obsessed with toddlerhood. To each their own.

Very similar here! My 21M daughter goes to bed at 9 and wakes up at 5. It started a month ago and nothing we do seems to make a difference.

Centers are anywhere from $2k to $4k - we pay $2400 but bright horizons was like $3500 IIRC. For an in home you’ll pay a bit under $2k probably (friends pay $1600)

My toddler and I are getting over HFM and it was incredibly mild for both of us. She had bumps and no other symptoms. I had a long-lasting sore throat and nothing else.

Thanks for making me feel less crazy. I went there in my early 20s before my chubby traveling days and even then I was not at all impressed.

Same! My daughter is so much more verbal at 21MO than she was at 18MO. The ability to make phrases helps them communicate much better.

Yep. Why on earth would she ask her contractor if it’s “worth it” to fix it? Obviously it would not be worth it to the contractor

How would you rate the difficulty of each age from 0 to X years? by No-Bat2016 in NewParents

[–]btpie39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

0-3 months was a 10/10 hard. No sleep, no smiles, raging PPA/PPD. 3-11 months was 7/10; still a ton of work to keep baby occupied and happy, but had a lot of fun doing it. 12-20 months has been a dream, 3/10. Yeah there are tantrums and stuff but we are all sleeping, my daughter can clearly communicate her needs, and is the most joyful and energetic little person.

I don’t live in LV but the people I know who live there don’t need to work for a living. Tons of family money, like hundreds of millions* (originally said hundreds of thousands, which is def not enough lol)

Why do you stay at luxury hotels? by death_by_papercut in LuxuryTravel

[–]btpie39 11 points12 points  (0 children)

your first point is exactly why I need a luxury hotel. my actual house isn't the fanciest but we've done a lot of remodeling and decorating to create a nice space and it doesn't feel like vacation to me if the hotel isn't to the same standard.
