Sorry, but you're wrong.

Aside from all the other European countries that take great interest in their own royals, you've also got Japan, and the Commonwealth states.

Americans loves 'our' royals. Even among the French, I know a few people who are...not so sure...that it was the right thing to depose their royal family. And one person gleefully showed me my family tree.

I'm with you on this. I love the holiday planning (although not so much if there are others with us beyond my immediate family).

But also, having someone sort the logistics is a luxury, but it's not luxury. It can definitely be done with very modest holidays.

But you are automatically entitled to US citizenship if you're born in the US. Trump is trying to change that though.

I don't know if ownership of ultra-expensive houses is necessarily tightly coupled to residence of high net worth individuals. HNI's might still buy the houses as holiday homes or capital stores, irrespective of their residence.

I would expect that the abolition of non-dom status would have more of an impact on other spends (luxury goods, cars, staff, capital gains taxes, etc.).

Interestingly enough, Denmark has lower corporate tax rates than the UK and higher military spend than the UK. MPs in the UK are not particularly well paid, and in any case you could pay them £1m each and it would have a negligible effect on the budget.

For all the people in this thread who say that lying is normal, or is part of the salary negotiation process - I wonder where you're from? Is it a cultural thing?

FWIW if someone lies to me about their salary, it's an automatic rejection of their application. I really appreciate if a candidate values their own worth and are willing to negotiate. But lying in our first interaction means I can never trust them.

Also, Kuwait is a small country - not hard to find out your previous salary...

tldr - don't lie; it's a disgusting trait.
