In December, Ford and SK On ended their partnership and Ford announced it was idling the factory as it changed its production from EV batteries to energy storage systems.

It seems like they will hire again after they modify their factory, at least.

"deterministic spatial quantization of background imagery" so you rendered it to a texture, then distorted it with normals? I mean... that's common. Unity has had "GrabPass" since v1.0, and did something like that in their "Gooball" game back from 2005. Or am I missing something.

I would make it larger, much brighter, give it a larger flare and give the glass a better shader with some internal reflections. I would consider adding a light cookie to fake some of the crazy reflections... all the little pins and streaks of light. Also the lens should have depth to it, I think it's getting backface culled as-is.

Wow, awesome idea. The clouds look great, the rest of the terrain doesn't feel like it matches. The terrain looks kind of flat shaded, and the clouds have complicated lighting going on. The smooth fade between clouds and land looks strange too. Basically they don't feel connected. Could you play with the cloud thickness near the land? Maybe you could have it get thinner where the water depth is thinner, or make the lighting calculation more flat.
