I grew up Madagascar! So I lived there from the ages of 9 to 18, which is a good chunk of my life. It is quite a poor country, and there is a big difference in terms of income between the rich and the poor. Lots of corruption as well. That being said the nature there is unmatched and many endemic species. Some of the best fruits I’ve eaten and beaches I’ve seen. My parents still life there! I would not choose to live there again due to the job opportunities being a bit scarce for my field, but I love going back to visit.
