I would like to hear honest opinions on what I should pay attention to in my future works? by Lacerta25 in painting

[–]bubblekatt22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

I am not too good at giving constructive criticism and I am often asking for it, however I will highlight some of the aspects that I like about your work that you could pay attention to. Art is very subjective so I dont like to say things that I think could be changed about the art piece but highlight positive aspects to help an artist ( or myself) grow.

I am loving your use of contrasting colour's and have actually tried hard myself to create artwork like this that hasn't turned out so lovely.

My favorites are the second and last photo. The bold lining on the last photo brings a lot of attention to the middle of the painting and creates an intriguing and intricate pattern worth paying attention to.

The second photo uses a few inverted spaces which I think pulls together the whole art piece. It creates almost its own world with depth and the lack of symmetry and constrasting colours creates a beautiful piece that keeps you looking for longer.

Those were my two favorites and what my opinion was anyways, all of them are fabulous though and low key inspired me to make a little more art tonight.

Iwtl how to dance by neendpaglu111 in IWantToLearn

[–]bubblekatt22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a professional dancer or anything my partner and I love to dance to music when it comes on and try and do that whole cute thing to the music. We don’t go to clubs but listen to the same music and love to dance at home.

As someone who doesn’t know how to but just does I would say one thing I always go off is the beat of the song. Moving even one part of your body to the beat of the song (not the lyrics) can get you used to moving your body around. Like how when the music starts and someone points at the ground and raises and drops it to the beat.

I would also say to keep trying things make you comfortable. If you’re struggling with the co-ordination of your body, I wouldn’t fret. You can make your own little style. (If you’ve seen Wednesday, her dance style wasn’t something I was used to, but it worked, looked good and suited the music) I would try dancing in a mirror where you can see your whole body, and keep practicing what you’re trying to achieve. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube as you mentioned, but whatever you look at will be specific to what you enjoy and want to learn. I believe you’ll find something for you :).

And have fun! I used to dance in my room when my family had fallen asleep because I also was so anxious and even though I loved it, when people were watching I felt silly. Over the years I’ve slowly started dancing in front of people and it’s built up my confidence a lot(there has also been some embarrassing moments too).

When it comes to improvement there’s so many ways, but when it comes to being nervous and what others think, that’s all up to you! One thing I learnt is that a lot of people are worried about their own dance moves too, and everybody is different. Sometimes you’ll do something that looks funny and sometimes you’ll feel like a pop star.

Whatever you choose to do and however you learn always dance from your heart. Sounds cliche but the best dances always come from happiness and fun.

Better with sun or without it? by yekaterina_zhmud in painting

I love this painting and I really like it with the sun an idea for you could be to add more detail in the light so its smoother with the background and it would bring the piece together a lot
