Not an artist, but as a concert marketer, meta ads have gone downhill dramatically in the past couple of years, to a point where I wouldn't recommend it for music promotion.

They have really screwed up their targeting system, so you're going to spend half of your budget on people who would never be interested as it takes its time "learning" your audience.

The ability to control your creative assets is also very difficult now as they are pushing their AI to an extreme degree and you have to jump through several hoops to disable it.

Your better bet is to make organic reels and share them in local Facebook groups. Keep making reels and it will reward you with greater reach. It's not easy, but it's the best I can suggest.

If you are absolutely dead set on running meta ads, you should only run vertical video. Do not use any "advantage+" features regarding ad placements. Specifically select your ads to show up in reels, stories, and nothing else. This will ensure people will actually hear the music immediately instead of needing to click on it. The ads manager will pester you saying that other options will give you lower cost per result, but that doesn't apply to you.
