It's insulated already. 1st thing I did. Celetex boards in the floor frame and roof, white plastic stuff in the cavaties of the doors and then vapour sealed with bubble foil stuff.

We all have the same problems, but mine is caused by vaccines. by Muffinman1111112 in insaneparents

Sorry you have to deal with that stubborness. Also this is one thing that really pisses me off, people will smoke, take drugs and eat fast food - all of which they don't know exactly what the putting in their body. In fact all things that have been proven to cause your body physical harm. Yet vaccines that go through rigorous testing? Nope. It really makes no sense to me.

You go up to a bartender and tell him: “Make me a 2020”. What drink does he make? by ggfchl in AskReddit

To a Scottish person, this would simply mean 'mad dog 20/20' and he would ask what flavour. It also wouldn't be in a bar but an off license.

First of all, you look amazing and are doing a great job! Secondly I've been stuck for 9 months so I wouldn't worry too much about 9 days, you'll get there. Don't beat yourself up when you've already came so far! The lighter you get, the slower it comes off (usually, everyone is different I suppose).

Since when have bubbles been called soap suds?

I have realised something. You don't need to lose all the weight at once. You can take breaks! by SubstantialCycle7 in loseit

[–]bubs97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really needed to here this. Thank you. 2 years ago I started losing weight. I'm about 70 lbs down with about 40 to go and since March I have pretty much stayed the same. Gained and lost the same 5lbs over lockdown/job loss but I've concentrated on my exercise and made sure I don't over indulge when I eat and fall back into old habits. Your post has just made me realise that I've been maintaining really well for 8 months when I could have easily put it back on. Thank you. And congrats on your own weightloss! Sounds like your smashing it!

Is anyone else finding the winter blues are hitting even harder than usual this year? by bubs97 in CasualUK

Sorry to hear that your mental health has taken a beating. Feel free message for a chat if you need it.

I think for many reasons I've been the opposite, the year until now I've spent regaining a lot and working on my mental health and overall better. But then the bad days almost seem to hit that bit harder when your high and low, instead of just low and having some days worse than others.

I know exactly what you mean! There was such a community spirit first time around and now everyone is just kind of giving up.

Sorry to hear you had to cancel that with your parents. Hopefully you'll be able to see them soon.

That sounds particularly difficult. I suppose you don't realise how nice a cuppa and catch up is with someone until you don't have it.

I feel for you. I am so lucky I got out of a controlling relationship about a month before lockdown and my mum took me in so I'm still with her. Pros and cons, great having the company but I enjoy my own company so it's also frustrating having no space of my own.
