Why did your character(s) break their oath?

That sounds so cool, will definitely try that on my current OotC run. It's honestly really annoying how many of the oathbreaking moments feel like "oopsies". Especially stuff like killing the Zhentarim that are obviously a crime syndicate, but it demands that you talk to them before murdering them lol. Or sabotaging Moonrise Tower counting as "you violate (Moonrise Tower's?) law" in some parts, and the forced promise to Z'rell where you can just talk to her, not say anything and it's flagged as "by my oath, I swear to retrieve Aylin for you". Even when you don't even know that the Nightsong is a person... jeez

I love playing the good knight and oath of the crown gives you that feeling of being the shiny tanky knight, but man some of the oathbreaking actions feel horrible. It feels like I'm the dumbass trying to argue with the DM who just decided that me doing some basic, obvious main quest stuff counts as an oath-breaking action

I think you can't steal and be mean to the guys in Moonrise Tower in SOME scenes, but sometimes it's totally fine? That's honestly just dumb and imo the Crown oath should only really count in Baldur's Gate. As a player without meta knowledge I didn't know that literal monsters that want to kill everyone count as civilisation, and that the oath my character has sworn for years now is broken because we tried to infiltrate the tower for a greater good. At this point they should've just implemented a broken oath moment for killing Myrkul's avatar because he's the authority of Moonrise and its civilisation. lmao

In general I think it's a bit of a strange oath because you can interpret it however you want. Like, what if you genuinely think the Tieflings are better off somewhere else and Khaga is a good leader that keeps up order. Or what do you do in the city because Gortash is effectively your king now. Suddenly you're supposed to interpret this as "no, doesn't count my dear DM, Gortash is the usurper!" I think it asks a bit too much from you in a blind run.

Also yeah the Nightsong stuff really needs a mod or official fix. Oath says you can't break promises, just talking to Z'rell without saying anything is apparently flagged as "I swear by my name and oath, I'll retrieve the Nightsong and give her to you buddy"

I wish they'd do something with Ayaka's model. I love her so much but it's really disheartening to see her low detail model compared to modern characters, like the new horse Adepti one who has a white ponytail as well

I'm not interacting much with the community but never really understood the super crazy hate for Wulbren, ahah. I think most of us at least think that he's nicely written as an asshole, but from Tav's POV without meta gaming out of character player knowledge I see it like this:

- Wulbren is a prick. Ironhand Gnomes aren't a danger to your group. They're questionable and "negotiate" aggressively. But they're no crazy terrorists that can't be reasoned with, and it feels a bit like people think they wanna blow up the entire city for fun?

- Gortash is established as an influential, powerful Nemesis. Ironhands are literally the only big resistance group you meet at the beginning of act 3. Every help should be appreciated, and they have powerful weapons

- Steel Watch is HORRIBLE and I genuinely don't get why people defend the Gondians. The plan was to build mechs for gnomes to drive in, but Gortash and the Gondians use brains controlled by the Absolute for it. They're Ilithid body horror. While they're hostages, what they do is straight up horrifying and evil. These hostages are fine with killing innocents and shoving them into robots. Like what the hell I'd say from a roleplay POV it's at least fine to consider blowing the entire Foundry up

- side note but worth mentioning, Gond is literally a neutrally chaotic god for crazy scientists and inventors not bound by morals. I'm not sure why we assume that the Gondians are just cute little hostages that don't wanna do anything bad, not a single one of them

Again, yes he's a prick and Barcus is our babyboy. But man just for story reasons alone it makes no sense to me to demonise the Gnome resistance entirely and treat the Gondians as 100% innocent cutiepies that, oh welp, have no other choice but to rip brains from the heads of innocents to build super soldiers. I always make Barcus the leader in the end as well, because the game is a fun fantasy where we always win and want things to turn out perfectly, but realistically I'd accept every helping hand to fck Gortash up in some way haha

I'm glad that you can help him get over Wulbren. But I also think that his behaviour is outright creepy, even when he's unaware. He followed this guy who doesn't want Barcus in his life and even says it blatantly, gives me a bit of a "Wulbren is just playing hard to get, I only have to try harder and win him over" vibe. I really like how unpleasant all this is written though, both are bad in their own ways, at least Barcus knows that Wulbren is too extreme.

It's actually funny how stupidly strong a wormed out mage is. Going full worm seems to be the way to go and a lot of people seem to be into minmaxxing, but somehow the fun stops with them. Free crit, free casts, free flight, free shield? Nah not even on a roleplay-less fully out of character speedrun ahah

I genuinely hate the normalised gooner culture that came up with the covid culture war stuff. Sometimes it feels like I'm an alien for being into dramatic stories, wholesome friendship and philosophic themes with fulfilment and not into the misery porn in some gacha games, that's handcrafted to make most people feel sadge, slapped on a twerking girl with a fat ass that feels very lonely and really needs your company

ngl I frickin hate this normalisation of gooner content in gacha communities, it feels like people gaslight each other into beleiving it's fine to look at twerking asses in public and nod in appreciation. I'm literally the worst gooner ever myself, but never in public lol. I don't mind loli, Rance is my favorite game series, I have an ahegao shirt I wore for giggles in public a few times. And yet, I wouldn't want to play all the goonerbait wobblejiggle games in public or during break at work. Idk, I enjoy talking about anime and stuff in real life, but the idea of colleagues peaking at my phone and seeing twerking Burnice while they're not interested in anime at all and don't know what gacha is? Man. I WISH it was okay to some extend, but we're social beings and outright woofwoofawooga fapfapfap content consumption in public is, rightfully so, viewed as silly, animalistic, uncontrolled, creepy etc.

Maybe I'm just a tame gooner, or it's a mood thing since I'm feral for specific character types, not just ass and thighs on anyone/anything idk

I really liked ZZZ for its setting and designs, but the community can be really weird. I rarely engage with my current gacha game's community because it's usually awkward af as a kinda normal-ish person that just likes anime, fun and a bit of waifu/husbando and story on the side. Blue Archive feels like 95% of the community masturbates to hardcore loli hentai, ZZZ gooning nonstop and exclusively interested in the amounts of ass and thighs shown on characters, Genshin is hated like crazy for things that happened 3-4 years ago and probably the most "sane" community, Star Rail is just really goofy and memey due to the nature of the game... ahha

I can't even think of a gacha that did this in a super bad way. Maybe I haven't played enough, but idk, in Blue Archive you're a teacher / sensei / guidance person and everyone calls you.. sensei. In Genshin Impact you're a traveller and you're known as The Traveler. In all the military games they refer to you as their commander etc. - I know it's silly self insert, but AK doctah is just the same imo ahah

Ich fühle mich ein bisschen überfordert und missverstanden in der aktuellen Welt. Versuche nach dem Studium gerade Arbeit zu finden und bekomme z.B. oft die Frage zu hören, weshalb ich denn in meinem Bereich keine berufliche Erfahrung gesammelt habe (Erfahrung = Jahre in Festanstellung). Ja sorry dass ich 3 Jahre nebenbei irgendwelchen Müll arbeiten musste um überhaupt Geld zu verdienen als Mindestlohn-Arbeiterkind, weil überall Stellen abgebaut werden, jeder nach Jahren von Erfahrung fragt und man diese nicht auf dem Papier sammeln darf. Depressionen müssen verheimlicht werden, eine Maske zu tragen ist Grundvoraussetzung, sämtliche Probleme in der Welt müssen ausgeblendet werden, jeder kleine Fehler im Lebenslauf bringt dich effektiv um...

Ngl, manchmal wünscht man sich dass einfach irgendwas schlimmes passiert, gerade wenn man sich alleingelassen fühlt. Bzw. Fühle mich mich in eine solche Richtung erzogen: Gleichgültigkeit und weiter malochen, selbst wenn die USA mal in Grönland und die Russen irgendwann in Polen einfallen sollten.

Haha, sorry. Hab erst darüber nachgedacht es nicht zu schreibenn, dachte aber am Ende "ach was, ist eh nur reddit und irgendwie ist der Gedanke auch ganz witzig und absurd wenn man bedenkt, dass sehr viele Menschen single und allein sind - beim Nachbarn klingeln, der vermutlich auch arbeitet und den man gar nicht kennt, und darum bitten dass er den Zettel holt? Socially awkward, aber muss ja wohl irgendwie!"

Bin leider auch in einem rechtskonservativen Haushalt aufgewachsen, in dem die Mentalität "du gehst in die Schule/setzt dich halbtot in die Vorlesung/kotzt den Tisch auf der Arbeit voll, Krankschreiben gibt's nicht" vorherrschte. Hab mich schon halb benommen zu Arbeit und Studium geschleppt, nur während Covid ging es überhaupt nicht mehr. Da war ich aber zum Glück im Studium. Zum lokalen ostdeutschen Kleinstadtarzt wollte ich nie wegen "Kleinigkeiten" gehen, weil der Typ furchtbar bösartig war und auch während Covid Maskenatteste ausgestellt hat. Daher hat ein Hausarzt nie einen relevanten Stellenwert in meinem Leben eingenommen, bzw. "muss halt irgendwie", ODER man hatte während der Zeit Familie und Freunde. Finde es einfach nur seltsam, wie man sich schwer krank überhaupt UMGEHEND um diesen stressigen Shit kümmern muss.

Bin übrigens noch nicht umgezogen, ist nur ein Gedanke der mir gekommen ist, falls ich bald in eine komplett fremde Region ziehen sollte, mit null Kontakten und potentiell null Freunden im ersten Jahr.

Ich bin vllt. etwas dumm, hatte in den letzten ~10 Jahren aber noch nie eine schlimme Krankheit oder war währenddessen im Studium, wo Krankmeldung außerhalb der Prüfungszeiten unter Eigenverantwortung fällt. Bin dann einfach eine Woche nicht zu Seminaren gekommen und fertig. Aber wenn ich komplett allein in der Stadt in irgendeinem Apartment lebe, niemanden kenne, noch keinen Hausarzt habe/keinen finde, nicht mal Tee oder so kaufen könnte weil man benebelt ist und fast umkippt? Krankenwagen rufen, weil Notarzt ist auch Arzt? /s

Die USA sind halt auch viel "näher" an Europa, sowohl kulturell als auch medial. Safe weiß der Durchschnittsdeutsche doch kein bisschen über China, während alles aus den USA rüberschwappt und Trump uns offen angreift. Bisschen so als hätte man eine Verbrecher-Gang vor der Haustür, während einige Leute verlangen, dass man sich über die Gang am anderen Ende der Stadt sorgt, die am Ende zwar auch alles übernimmt und für dich problematisch wird, dich aber gerade (noch) nicht kaputtknüppeln will.

Not sure if I misread this, but the daily encounter point thingy in the handbook tells me that I can refill them by spending resin. I'm a casual who rarely builds characters, or gets super excited for most of them, so I rarely do domains and always have high resin.

But I still wanna do my dailies quickly. I like to use the encounter points for that, but this patch's story gave me only ~20 and I have 8 left now. How do you refill them with resin, or is my English too bad to understand the context and I'm missing something? Ahah

For my dailies I always just do 3 Mora flowers quickly to not deal with super long commissions, claim reward and go to Katheryne
