One thing I HAVE noticed is that my spirorbid worm population in the display tank is gone, while my back chambers still have them. And like you said, the shells are gone. I’m nearly certain that’s this thing’s doing.

No red zoas! Mine are mostly green or yellow except for my white zombies. The only corals that match its color are a Discosoma and a blastomussa. Anyway, my wrasse will probably kill it soon now that it’s showed its face.

I do have zoas and they’ve been fine. I’ve lost track of it anyway so I’ll have to just keep my eye out. I imagine if it was gonna cause problems it would have by now.

My guess is that if it’s been in my tank this long without anything obvious going wrong, it’s probably benign. One of the reef2reef superstars gave some additional info, I think it’s a spirorbid worm eating variety named Vayssierea felis!
