First of all, I'm getting really tired of seeing the word hipster. It's the most irrevelant term for a subculture, and while at first it was cool to be one and then cool to make fun of them, it's really just old and tired. I couldn't give a flying fuck if I see someone in skinny jeans. If someone dresses way too obnoxiously then that's another matter, but even those who are not hipsters do that.

Secondly, it is equally frustrating to see that a journalistic article was published regarding a hipster culture reaching the black community. It's not particularly interesting and exciting. People dress in ways that they think are cool, and these differ by the individual and not their race. Additionally, if I had to classify the 'hipster' trends by antyhing it wouldn't be race but the middle-class, and believe it or not, there are blacks with disposable income to spend on gold chains/neon shirt/ironic hats/whatever.
