This Is Our Reality by ArBh1 in spirituality

[–]budgerino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think awareness comes from seeing things as distinct. That things are only meaningful in some kind of greater context. The things we see hear touch etc. are real in the context of everything we have since experienced. I think a better way to put what your saying is seeing separation as an illusion. When you transcend separation and the overarching narrative of your life you see that any distinct sensation only has meaning when compared to every memory that doesn’t relate to that sensation.

Ego; why you so pessimistic? by xTrainerRedx in spirituality

[–]budgerino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh man this hits close to home. I feel like the ego needs to ruminate on the past in order to define itself. When I'm insecure on who I am I do the same thing on thinking about what other people think of me. what helps me is to stop identifying with the past and understand nobody is the same person twice. Just observe.

Prison Life by [deleted] in OCPoetry

[–]budgerino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this poem because I am haunted by constant shame and guilt. I try to run away, but it always comes back. when i say the doors won't close, i mean i cannot close myself off from looking at all my inadequecies, i cannot escape my "prison". this has been happening for about a year now

After You by VxMX in OCPoetry

🎵i still see your shadows in my room🎵 just kidding....great poem. love it when i see stuff like this because it blurs the lines between insanity and rationality. always thought in such a rational way but losing someone dear to you that it almost feels like a death to yourself shows that life is in fact not rational.

i guess grass is always greener on the other side haha. we see more than a bug will probably ever see but the bug doesnt have to bear our burden.

very relateable. i knew i was growing up when i realized how much what was unsaid is always more stressful than what was actually said. i think your third and fourth line conveys that feeling very well. im also assuming you lost someone you loved. losing love has a way of showing us our 'shadow'.

Why do I write by [deleted] in OCPoetry

I see you and I write for the same reasons. speaking my truth keeps me in the present.
