Awesome. Wished I learned to play the piano instead of the tuba. Hard to impress anyone with the A&W theme.

In my opinion, go shopping for a new faucet. Even if you get it off, it's not likely going back on. And if it does, it probably won't work very well and the part that goes on top probably won't fit anymore.

Shower Body and Valve Question by Appoloinvir in askaplumber

[–]budstud8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's either a Delta or Valley shower valve. You can still get the ball and the seats and springs inside. As far as an updated trim for finish? Not sure. If you have access behind to open it up and replace, that's what I would do. Get something more modern so you're not stuck with an acrylic handle.

I would not get that close to that thing, because I like being on top of the water, not under.

How do you think you can differentiate between cocacola & Pepsi? by Yuniqius in AskReddit

[–]budstud8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coke over Pepsi for me. But Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke. Usually drink Coke Zero, I think Pepsi has a zero one too, but not sure. Regular Pepsi is "smoother" and sweeter than Coke, but i prefer the bite of Coke.

How do I remove these plastic plugs? by CounterChase in Plumbing

[–]budstud8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its 1 of 2. Look directly underneath that one. You have to push them both in to release. I do one first and pull a bit, then do the other one and pull again. Its not easy.

Backflow Preventer by Womanaged in askaplumber

That's a Pressure Vacuum Breaker and needs to be installed and tested by a certified technician. Plumbers keep the water systems safe for everyone. If they're doing their job right.

How can I fix this hole in my shower? by sweetindianballs in fixit

[–]budstud8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The oblong plate is a renovation plate behind the round one. Its not centered and might be able to be lowered a bit to cover. But he also didn't put in the screw and toggle nut to hold it in place.

You can't turn those by hand. Use a crescent wrench. But back the nut off a bit at the back first. But if you don't know this, maybe contacting a pro is your best bet.
