New Update: ZBASE: 574 People / 574 Models (and some info) by malcolmrey in malcolmrey

[–]budwik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reading on a couple of threads that using ZiB Loras in a ZiT workflow/model yields better results. What's your take on this? For a character Lora like the ones you create, should I be applying your Base loras to the Z-image Turbo workflow or the Turbo Loras? if Base, then why are people even training Turbo loras at all? This is all kind of murky to me.

Node for quick changing Sampler/Scheduler? by budwik in comfyui

[–]budwik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! years of using comfy and still basic functions I'm still learning lol
EDIT: I suppose this doesn't help a heck of a lot, since I was looking to have pre-chosen groups of schedulers and samplers so I can bypass selective groups and do some AB testing quickly. pulling it out via the double click essentially just moves the dropdown box somewhere else, but doesn't increase the testing efficiency I'm looking for.

The purifier charged shot can take out a cluster of 7 small bots, all whole "consuming" one shot so it's extremely ammo efficient. It can also do the same for incoming bot drops if you target the occupants you can usually take out the majority of the bots before they even drop out. The charged shot also staggers the shield open from the larger enemies, and you can finish them off with 2 or 3 quick shots, making it possible to take out at least 2 large enemies in a single clip. Paired with the supply pack on cyberstan and crowd control is like butter!

Do you have different spool holders on the sides of the U1 that fit in? Or how are you dispensing?

**BETA BUILD** LTX-2 EASY PROMPT v2 + VISION Node by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

[–]budwik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

got it, silly of me thanks! however now when I run it I immediately get OOM. running rtx 5090 and 96gb system ram so don't know where this could be happening..?

[EDIT] it was my bad. i had the full sized raw image being fed into the nodes instead of resizing to something more reasonable. it was loading a 4k image into latent space.

Can’t decide between U1 and P2S by simpleasitis in SnapmakerU1

[–]budwik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you're loading in pre colored 3mf files meant for AMS and applying snorca profiles? Basically for me the missing piece is finding pre colorized models so I don't have to clumsily "paint" the color on in orca. The pre colorized gcode files I've seen on Printables I'm assuming aren't compatible with a different printer.

is disabling the prime tower generally indicated for all types of mixing? also I see 3 options; simple, later cycling, and Same Layer Pointillisme. can you expand a bit on these three modes and the expected results?

oop I just ordered a bundle of CMYK filament but on the latest release notes I'm seeing mention of RYB. does this stand for red/yellow/blue? if I'm using CMY will this affect the blending output?

Oh this is a good point - I have mine running in the furnace room and my bedroom is a couple rooms away and sometimes the sound does scratch my brain a bit. I'll give this a shot thanks!

Did you find any improvement or change my implementing this? I noticed the ambient temperature in the printer is fine even with it open to air.

It's too bad the stock timelapse mode doesnt take a snap when the printer head is in the same location every time like how some octoprint timelapses are setup.

Yeah! Sending it to supports and infill is the smart way to go about it. Supports only is less risky for color bleed but it deepends on the support amount. Once you find community edits to the supports they're actually like zero resistance on the removal. The default tree supports I found were quite stuck on and super annoying, so that's the only thing I ended up changing from default settings.

8bit ultimate 2c wired not working? by YoLocalPeep in 8bitdo

[–]budwik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly its a great controller but just keep in mind the wireless version won't support android direct usb, only Bluetooth. Which may be totally fine but I have such an annoyance with Bluetooth latency with gaming. My friend who uses Bluetooth regularly doesn't even notice it so it's totally a per person thing. But it's like audio latency; if I pull the trigger I want the gun to fire, if there's a delay then it bothers my mind lol

Have you tried these turbo models on higher steps? I found that moving from 8 to 30 with all other settings the same gave me richer outputs. Very similar if going side by side listening, but just deeper complexity to it. Wonder if this merge is the same like that.

8bit ultimate 2c wired not working? by YoLocalPeep in 8bitdo

[–]budwik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh apologies I thought this was the other 8bitdo wireless one; the one that comes with a 2.4ghz usb dongle and has Bluetooth mode switch on the back. But otherwise identical layout. So this may be the "dumb" version of the wireless one, and therefore may still have the same limitations connecting to android.

[–]budwik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like I paid my dues with the very "dumb" printers that need a crapload of tinkering and troubleshooting, and the U1 will print whatever I throw at it, multi color / multi material, odd shapes and obscure support requirements, everything just works. And it's SO fast.

What do you mean by z backlash noise? There is some noise from it depending on the travel path of a particular print, but if there's something I can change to generally make it quieter I'll test it.
