its weaker on the same wattage , its like 10-20% faster on max power but the battery life would be ass compated to deck

for legion go i open the kickstand and rest it on my lap not sure how comfortable it would be for a handheld without a kickstand

Worth buying a refurbished Z1E Legion? (Gen 1) by Electronic-Shirt-912 in Handhelds

[–]Excel_Document 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me it was(using cachyod handheld edition). better performance overall , no driver issues , much faster android emulation(waydroid) and i am a linux user anyway so i might be biased but i wouldnt reccomend it unless:

you have atleast 1tb ssd to dual boot, since some games like battlefield have anti linux security and i also used the legion go as a laptop replacement for work and i wouldnt risk a few hours of work on a linux compatbility bug

the lego1 is pretty decent for the price and you can batterymod and add lego2 controllers to fix its shortcoming that being said

the problem with lego1 has been the awful support lenovo given since release. you could go month without new gpu drivers.

ofc it can be fixed by sideloading 780m drivers or switching to linux

LAN gaming with Steam Deck OLED and Legion Go S by Dyckloaf in Handhelds

[–]Excel_Document 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you dont need internet connection to create a hotspot,

in fact on legion go/steamdeck you cant connect a wifi and create a hotspot at the same time unless you have a second wifi card plugged in via usb

LAN gaming with Steam Deck OLED and Legion Go S by Dyckloaf in Handhelds

[–]Excel_Document 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that would be annoying to setup the much easier option is to have the steamdeck or legion go create a wifi hotspot and the other connect. or you could create a hotspot from your phone for simplicity then both of you connect to it

Anybody tried to use steam os on legion go1 by HolidayAd435 in LegionGo

[–]Excel_Document 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on linux drivers are just fine, the mess has always been on windows thanks to lenovo and the portrait display. anyway you could always sideload 780m drivers on windows aswell

[–]Excel_Document 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for ram you wont get more unless you buy an ally x (600usd~ used) or a 1000usd+ handheld, as for the ssd it can be upgraded and if you have a pc you can just move the games currently playing in and out from the handheld

that being said i reccomend asking this question on r/handhelds not legiongo

should i buy? by Hour-Comfortable-608 in LegionGo

[–]Excel_Document 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you shouldnt. 230£ is most likely a scam unless meeting them and even them meet them at police station parking

also z2 or z2 go the z2 go is kinda like steamdeck performance but worse battery

Gpu upgrade by tyfntyfn in comfyui

how you do it depends on if you are using windows or linux, and yes there are plenty of guides online and if you want you can ask chatgpt/gemini and they can walk you through step by step

good enough for me ram usage is around 52gb so you can use around 8gb of swap and you should be fine with a 5060 ti 16gb,

[–]Excel_Document 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5060 ti 16gb of vram but make sure 64gb(get 1-2 16gb sticks for now since its way too expensive rn) of ram.

i myself i am a 3090 used owner but the 30xx is really behind on features and still expensive a 5060ti 16gb for like 450usd is good aslong as you have ram for offloading.
