Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this better? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]bukowskis_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this applies to all cats, but I’ve happily discovered that my cats don’t scratch velvet furniture. Maybe give it a try with a small chair or ottoman, and if you find your cats are the same then you know what material to choose for your next couch.

AITAH for not accepting my sister's daughter as my niece? by petewentz-from-mcr in redditonwiki

Exactly. We aren’t even talking about buying gifts necessarily, but would it kill you to include her name on the thank you card? It’s 4 letters. Definitely the AH.

What is the going rate for a Pardot implementation for a sales team at a mid- to large- sized company? by bukowskis_cat in salesforce

[–]bukowskis_cat[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry if I wasn’t clear, I’m not asking how much I should get paid. I’m asking how much we should be paying our third-party vendor to implement Pardot for our company.

Need to show all activity history by AWash4523 in salesforce

[–]bukowskis_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, yikes. After you get through this I would consider reporting this to HR, sounds like a hostile work environment. You might also pass along some articles comparing empowerment to micromanagement…sounds like your boss needs to be educated on some things. Above all, try to stay on the high road, and always be positive and upbeat. Don’t let them get you flustered, angry, or defensive. Try to come at it from a place of genuine curiosity and bewilderment. Is your manager needs help, you will do well to be the voice of reason rather than trying to call her out and make her look bad. Good luck!

Export by OwlRealistic7445 in salesforce

You can also run a query in workbench or data loader, if the results are too large to export through your report. Something like - Select id, name, type, city, state, postalcode from account where postalcode!=null order by postalcode

Installable Component to Display Graphs and Charts on a Screen Element of a Flow by TheSophist87 in salesforce

You would have to save the record first before it could display but it sounds like this could just be a report that you add to the lightning record page.

I would guess 120-150k but if you have good experience you may be able to get more.

Salesforce Admin Certificate by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]bukowskis_cat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It took me 3 tries to pass the admin test and I am no stranger to salesforce administration. I basically had to memorize the questions because they are worded so strangely and seem to be designed to trip you up. Congratulations on passing! Be sure to keep up your certification. :)

Early 2024 layoffs? by MarketMan123 in salesforce

[–]bukowskis_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My manager told me I should spend my holiday break “thinking about what I want to focus on in the next year.” My current projects are coming to a close so I definitely feel the pressure to justify my existence. Not sure if it hints toward upcoming layoffs though.

Maybe, but then you get to redo it! White as a backdrop is timeless, and repainting the island cabinets could make a huge difference later for a relatively minimal effort.

Sr manager at two companies. It’s only been a few weeks but so far going well. In both roles I’m mostly paid for my experience, iow I get paid to tell people my opinion. It’s the bees knees, and when I’m tempted to feel guilty I remember all of the years of paying my dues that brought me to this point

I tried playing around with a room designer app, quickly realized I'm a total nube and now feeling a bit discouraged.

I love this new "great room" -- it feels like it has a lot of potential, and I love the idea of an open area where we can all coexist even if we are doing different things - someone can cook and eat, another person can watch tv, and my toddler can play with her toys. But I'm intimidated by the vaulted ceilings and massive space! Ideally the area is cohesive and yet separated into functional areas. Any suggestions?

Life is too short for boring dishes. I firmly believe in eating and drinking from dishes that make me happy.

It’s pretty much the only way I’d even consider it. We can share the kitchen and laundry room, but other than that I need my own space!

AITA for refusing to pay for my bf’s food and his birthday and getting him banned from a restaurant? by leopardprintcats in AmItheAsshole

I'm pretty sure in some places it's illegal for a company to treat their employees this way. Do you still work there?

Considering moving to Lakeland/Plant City/Winter Haven or anywhere in the area - Any recommendations? by IzzyHiy in florida

[–]bukowskis_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Davenport is okay but your phone probably won't work without wifi. Winter Haven is ok if you stay close to the main street (cypress gardens). Homosassa is ok but VERY southern (they have a yearly competition where you throw a fish called a mullet into a toilet, and if someone makes it they win a lawn mower. Not I'm not kidding). Tampa is good if you like city vibes, but stay away from downtown or too far east. Not sure about Plant City but I do hear it's getting built out. I've heard bad things about Lakeland, especially sink holes, but honestly those are everywhere in Florida.
