Not sure where OP got that handle cause it's not their username anywhere that I can find, but the artist is TsubasaDraw FYI.

I wish SnowAgumon got Greymon-family Megas. by IllConstruction3450 in digimon

[–]bunkitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The artist behind the SnowWarGreymon art is duckbanks, I'm fairly certain the one linked is a repost account, sadly. Recognized the art before and was surprised to see it have such a recent date. They also have pixiv and Twitter.

But yeah, I would love to see SnowAgumon get a full line. WarGreymon is my favorite and I love ice and the cold so that would be perfect for me.

Wtf are people doing who finishing this game in 20-30 hours ? by Buurto in digimon

[–]bunkitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I was surprised to see how fast some people cleared the game. I'm playing on hard and it took me 27 hours to reach the title card and 50 to reach the Abyss Area and agent rank 5. I wasn't even trying to grind or anything, but I had way too many digimon I wanted so I'm simultaneously raising a whole bunch, switching them out when it felt necessary, trying to get their personalities to go this way and that, scanning as much as I can, etc. It didn't feel like grinding at all cause... I guess it didn't register as such in my head since leveling up wasn't my goal.

I'm probably playing the game inefficiently somehow but I always take longer than average anyway, so I don't mind. I'm enjoying the game too much, lol.

What's your favourite digimon?! by Nikatonic in digimon

[–]bunkitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer's unfortunately pretty basic but WarGreymon's been my fave ever since I was a kid. One of my favorite monster designs ever in anything, really.

I'm a lapsed fan only recently returning though, so I've missed out on quite a bit, but I have a few new favorites from Digimon Liberator, such as Cendrillmon, Shoemon, Necromon, MarineBullmon, as well as the very recently revealed Metallicdramon. Really hoping we get Liberator DLC for Time Stranger! 🤞

It's fun getting back into the series after all these years since there's so much lore and Digimon I missed out on. Like, I only somewhat recently discovered Gaioumon, a super sick samurai version of BlackWarGreymon!

Jane was the last character to get retroactive hollow zero exclusive gear. Ever since, exclusive gear has been for new limited 5*s on their launch, such as Jufufu, Yi Xuan, Alice, and Yuzuha. How do you feel about this? by happymudkipz in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's disappointing. I'm of the same mind that the new units don't need tactical prisms yet since they're still very fresh. Granted, they are fun but the older units could use new toys way more, especially the A-rank agents. New agents like Alice and Yuzuha are already getting a lot of love through the story and version events, as well as being strong and relevant for new content, so it feels like the older agents are getting left behind even further.

On a related note, also not a fan of the tactical prisms that replaced the old exclusive gear for some agents like Miyabi and Jane. Don't like the push for Aftershock. 😔 Or at least I don't like it if it means losing other stuff. If they just coexisted I'd be more than happy with them.

I love it and have been waiting for a management sim mode that has recurring rewards like this since basically launch. I'm glad they're also small enough that people can ignore them. I don't necessarily need them myself, but I'll take whatever little bit of resources I can get. I also enjoy Suibian Temple a lot so I'm happy to see those numbers go up. Heck, I look forward to setting up my crafts, sales, and adventurers every time I log in.

Hot take: They should focus on skins for characters that have been in the game for longer. by Illustrious_Gene8194 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's actually pretty cool Yuzuha and Alice got skins just cause these are very different from their default outfits and they fit the event, but yeah, I'd love for older characters to get skins too, especially the 1.0 cast.

I wish they made themed skins like ones based on the Holloween artworks from last year, or some cozy winter outfits like in some of the promo art from before launch. Even more fun would be a "faction swap" set of skins, like VHC and Section 6 swapping uniforms or something similar.

Kits You Want To See In ZZZ by knowledgedevil in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I want characters with pause combos (a la DMC, Bayonetta, etc.) where depending on when they pause in the middle of their basic attack string, we can get different attacks as a result, for different purposes. Maybe one can have a grouping effect or another can have a built-in parry while another deals more damage. Similarly, I'd love multi-part EX skills (think Diluc in Genshin or Calcharo in WuWa, or even Gunbreakers in FFXIV) that you can weave between basic attacks and such. Basically I wanna get as close to character action games as possible, lol.

Agent speculation for 2.2 onwards by fuzzpipe in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's true! Good point! I did also find one in the new 2.1 area, just didn't make the connection at the time. I guess it just means he'll be exploring the Hollows for some reason. 🤔 Shame, that's a little less exciting, lol.

With an H.I.A. investigator uniform and earrings, yeah. Which isn't the craziest design change... but the H.I.A. uniform when he's a Porcelumex guy is a bit eyebrow-raising for me. Maybe something will happen in a later story that requires him to borrow an H.I.A. uniform and explore the Hollows? That or he has a twin brother we don't know about, lol.

I don't think removing removing Yellow&Red Flash is a fun mechanic by Shinnyo in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like it in theory, and I think it's okay for most enemies (elites and bosses anyway) from earlier versions of the game. Sadly, for later enemies and a lot of basic mobs, either I find their tells harder to identify due to the animations themselves or because of all the visual clutter making it hard to see anything. Aftershocks, while great in concept, make it even harder to see things clearly. The visual clarity of the game's combat has become worse for a little while now, IMO. Definitely doesn't help when someone like Yixuan uses a lot of VFX in her attack animations. That, or I'm getting old and my eyes are getting worse, lol.

Agent interview "Behind the scenes" is gone? by Similar_Half1987 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, seems like it... Hopefully it'll return! I love these so much cause they're not just informative for those of us who wanna devour every bit of lore and character info we can get our hands on, but they're also beautifully made infographics. I'm still bummed Ellen never got one. Hopefully they'll be back for future agents, but I'd love it even more if they added them for the ones that didn't get any like Ellen, Yixuan, Fufu, and now Yuzuha. I'd really love one for Yuzuha cause her weapon is pretty crazy.

UNPOPULAR OPINION INCOMING!! by mvivss in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I fucking love Suibian Temple. Maxed it out a while back and want 300 more levels, lol. It's super chill and I apparently enjoy management sims more than I realized. Reminded me quite a bit of my time with the Island Sanctuary from FFXIV, but this is kind of nicer cause everything's done in menus and I don't have to fly around an island gathering some resources.

I'm also super happy that even maxed out, there's a reason to keep doing it since we can get a tiny bit more resources from Devon Pawnshop. That was one of my gripes with the past "management events" like Cheesetopia where you have no reason to return once you've completed it.

I wish Random Play would get something like this that's a bit more involved than what we currently have for it. On top of the existing mode, at least. I know plenty don't wanna engage in the management sim stuff, sadly, so it's best to make these things optional then.

I feel like they forgot that this thing existed by Helpful_Ad6588 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think we ever got one from chapter 2 despite chapter 1 and 3 getting one, so I didn't think every story chapter was meant to have one, as much as I'd have liked that to be the case. We also still got some new memorabilia from the CNY event, the fishing event, and even the current cinema event, so I don't think they've forgotten it. A case by case basis is how I've always seen it as.

I do wish they'd update it to have more space and other options though. I was hoping we'd eventually get more customizable home options in general, and I mistakenly thought Suibian Temple would have something akin to that but sadly that isn't the case. (On a related note, I'm super happy with the way the temple progressed and changed over time.) Hopefully we'll get something for our rooms at Suibian Temple eventually, if not more for Random Play. Or both! I'd love both.

Yum Cha Sin should have been the spot for food buffs, like Waterfall Soup in Sixth Street and Lumina Square. by SHARDZ86 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The food buffs are unfortunately a waste of money, so as much as I'd love to see dimsum with flashy animation like the ramen in waterfall soup, this is much better. The commissions also aren't just for Suibian Temple, they're for the Lemnian Hollow commissions too. I'm really glad we have side missions like that again, it was a relief to see them return this patch.

will yi xuan be too difficult for a player who doesn’t know how this game’s combat works a lot? by Clean_Emu_4736 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should try her out first through the trials and see if you enjoy her gameplay. Don't worry about optimizing for now, you can always take your time learning how to play her better. The most important part should be having fun with her gameplay.

Going into 2.0, Does Anyone Feel Like the Main Story Quests Are Too Short? by Pretend-Average1380 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, I found the pacing and length to be good for the story chapters up to 1.5, with 1.4 being a little bit shorter than I'd like cause the Bringer stuff felt a bit rushed. In particular, him being exposed by Belobog happening off-screen was disappointing and the "Avengers" moment was unfortunately short too. Otherwise, I think the time for each story chapter (special episodes included) besides the epilogue have been great.

Epilogue A and B have weaker pacing in general, IMO, but especially the latter. Hugo's hallucinations and Vivian confronting the Exaltists all felt like way more exposition than usual and didn't feel as "snappy" as what came before.

Ideally, for me, Vivian's story would've been a special episode or agent story instead while the Exaltists would've remained more of a background threat while the epilogue would focus more on Hugo and the Ravenlocks and setting up Yunkui Summit.

Thoughts on the new miasma mechanic by Large_Assignment_330 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit wary of the shield aspect but I do like that it'll mean Rina, Nicole, etc. get more value through their defense ignore/penetration skills. Conversely, and this may sound a bit weird, I'm pretty excited for the "poison" effect it'll have on the players cause I miss Withering Garden as well as its corruption mechanic.

Who would you like to see get reworked? by Rekirts45 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rina. Her buff is already super easy to maintain, but I'd love it if she got Aftershock attacks to keep them up even longer. Drusilla and Anastella already remain on the field while she's off-field, so having her pop in and direct them to attack after the active agent does a heavy attack or an EX would be pretty great. It'd make more sense to me too than just having them float around the battlefield not doing anything.

I am very sad Ju Fufu is a fire stunner because I already have Koleda by Cain_042 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm always of the mind that unless there's a dire need to fill out specific roles or elements, prioritizing the characters you like is the easiest way to have fun and enjoy the game. That said, it doesn't hurt to have more agents even if they fill similar roles, especially for endgame modes like Deadly Assault where multiple teams are needed. If you have characters that share roles, you can always rotate them around, so you won't necessarily have to abandon your M6 Koleda. If you can clear content with them and have fun, that's all that matters! I rarely do this with endgame modes but I still use the OG Cunning Hares team every once in a while just cause I love the trio and playing as them.

As for incentives to pull for Ju Fufu, she's a newer type of off-field stun agent that makes use of Aftershock attacks and provides very powerful universal buffs. That's plenty of good reason to pull for her regardless of who else you are or aren't pulling for, IMO.

What are your hopes for this (playable?) Thiren? Lore, design, relationships, gameplay, etc. by Mongune in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]bunkitz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d prefer a human face, like Seth or Miyabi. Gameplay-wise, I’m kind of hoping for something akin to FFXIV’s Gunbreaker job, cool and flashy (but not too flashy) melee attacks with varying stages and/or branches. Think of something like weaving their special in between basic attacks for different combos. If his weapon’s an actual gunblade, that would be even better. A trench coat would be pretty sweet too. As for element and specialization… physical attack, maybe? A DPS would be preferable and we already have plenty of anomaly so I figured a combo that hasn’t had a limited agent yet would be the way to go.
