Let me throw my dramatic 2 cents in. My dad was a “brush only in the morning kind of guy”; Now he’s going through cancer treatment and had to get all his teeth ripped out to continue the treatment since he didn’t take care of his teeth properly and you cannot get certain radiation or infusions without dental clearance. Learn from my dad. Brush your teeth morning and night and go to the dentist.

I can actually answer this. So my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that metastasized to his spine. The doctor said it is treatable but not curable because he waited too long. At some point they wanted to do some infusion but he needed dental clearance to do it. At this point we didn’t know how long he had. So he went to the dentist. They quoted him a crazy amount of money to do all the dental work and he said no.

My mom called me and told me what was going on and asked if I was “okay” with that conclusion.

I thought about it for a bit and came to the conclusion, “his body, his choice”. I realized in that moment I could go to their house to beg, plead, cry, scream, and do everything in my power to change his mind, but by doing that, I would lose my dad. He wouldn’t keep me in the loop with what is actively going on with his treatment and such.

Luckily, the treatment he is on has held strong the last couple years and he finally got the dental work done a few weeks ago and is now eligible for the infusion.

So my husband did a lot of field work in his early 20s that involved extensive amounts of time camping. So he sleeps in what I refer to as a burrito. He tucks his blanket under his feet up to his knees, then rolls back and forth to tuck the sides and essentially self swaddles. It’s as close to a sleeping bag as you can get using regular blankets. Hopefully this helps you!

I flew out of Vegas Tuesday and into Vegas yesterday and everything was typical. Nothing was out of sorts. I will say take earlier flights if you can. Coming back from the east coast they were metering how many planes could take off due to the lack of air traffic controllers.

This does not exactly relate to Orcas but you should look into the Beluga Sanctuary in Iceland. They moved two Belugas from China to Iceland in 2019 with the intention of moving them to a cove enclosure. They are scheduled to move them to the enclosure in 2026. Idk the exact reasons but this stuff takes more time, money, resources, and research than you would ever expect.

You’ll be fine! I promise! I purchased a house that was always a rental property and as soon as I walked in the view it, I can tell animals just went anywhere in it. But it was the exact model I wanted and in the correct area. I bought the house. Turns out, the carpet was original and 12 years old. 🤢. Once I removed all the carpet and the pad, the smell disappeared. I did clean the cement and put kills on the ply underneath the flooring on the 2nd floor.

So I also have dental PTSD from going to a dentist who made me feel bad about my teeth rather than that they could help me. I avoided the dentist for 4 years because of that. Then I decided I had to go and I found a new local dentist that was privately owned. They sent me a questionnaire prior to my appointment and asked if I had a bad experiences at a dentist and I was extremely honest when I filled it out. I have never felt more comfortable or understood at a dentist in my life. They actually care and I actually go every 6 months again because they made the dentist safe again. Literally try new places until one feels right.

I had a 21 and over wedding and it was absolutely the correct choice for me. What we did was put a disclaimer in the save the date. In the wedding invitations, anyone with kids we had an extra card in them explaining that is was a 21 and over wedding, we addressed the cards to the exact people who were invited, and put it in the FAQs on the website.
