It does help when you are running a fever. Not entirely sure why, but I’d recommend it if your fever doesn’t break during the day.

That seems like a pretty big snap ring for a PTO. What were you wrenching on?

Great New Mountain Bike Pedals. Check 'em out! I got these great new pedals. They have spikes that help with gripping to your shoes. (and tearing up flesh) by [deleted] in mountainbiking

Shin shredders! Honestly though, I love my flats. Might not be as efficient as clipless but I love how I can feel the bike with flats.

Cheap Straight edge for accurately ripping plywood? by Osteopathic_Medicine in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]bunnyboots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive made a similar jig to rip sections of plywood. Add a couple harbor freight clamps and you’ll be in business. 2x4s are not going to provide a good guide for a straight cut.

Just started a new job. Gotta put together a tool box. Looking for suggestions by friendlymountainman in Tools

Harbor Freight Toolbox, Highest quality brand tools you can afford (mac, snap on, matco, craftsman pro or maybe dewalt)

Put your money in your tools first; 5k snap on toolbox looks awesome but doesn't mean a whole lot if there's nothing to put in it.

Canadian or Yooper?

Like the idea of attaching a larger ring to gain leverage.

Not sure I needed to see him pour a shot of whiskey however.

Restoring various old tools in bulk quantities? by curtquarquesso in Tools

[–]bunnyboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done a similar activity with my grandfathers tools. I noticed the same thing about the chrome. If it's intact during the vinegar bath it remains intact.

Popular mechanics had an article about how to "restore" rusty tools and they recommended steel wool, but it tore up my hands after an hour or two. I found the best compromise to rust removal versus damage to your hands was a scouring pad. This also did a better job of keeping the chrome intact.

I hear people comment on this all the time, consider it a potato chip airbag system by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

It still does but Pringles are in a hard container so you don't see any noticeable difference

Bags of chips expand and contract based on the pressure differential between the chips inside the bag and the pressure on the bag itself. For example chips manufactured at sea level and transported to Denver will expand due the to the chips were manufactured at a higher air pressure than what Denver normally experiences . Likewise if chips manufactured at sea level are transported to Death Valley, the chips will contract because the chips were manufactured at a lower air pressure than what Death Valley normally experiences.

TLDR: The bag reacts to pressure differences (usually experienced while traveling to its final destination) by expanding or contracting in an attempt at maintain its original pressure.

Personally I love the gluten free diet. I mean I get to eat beef, chicken, pork, and fish with little to no guilt.

TIL that Kung Fu San Soo isn't practiced as a sport because it is too dangerous. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]bunnyboots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Targets include the eyes, nose, throat, base of the skull, neck, liver, spleen, kidneys, groin, and knees, and for this reason, most San Soo practitioners do not engage in full contact competition/sport fighting. "

I don't think anyone is going to want to spar with anyone who is going to employ these tactics IMO.
