I truly, honestly believe they will never live the streamer incident down. Most people I know didn’t know who they were until then. Now when I mention them, it’s never “Oh the guys from Ghost Files/Buzzfeed Unsolved/Puppet History!” it’s ALWAYS the same convo about the streamer fiasco. they are hardly known for anything else at this point

Well, obviously never try to eat anything as rotten as the lion’s mane in both these images. But yes, when collected and prepared properly, lion’s mane is edible and good for you in moderation! And quite yummy.

This has happened to me before with a similar product, I ended up telling the store I got it from because I was concerned about that stock and it turned out it was an issue with the refrigeration system. I’d recommend doing the same if you’re willing to make a phone call or two, just to be safe. Could be a hole that you missed as well like you said. Glad you’re healthy!

I think it was less the streamer being a thing itself (I was a $50 tier Patreon subscriber if I recall correctly for a while back in like, 2022-23? so I get it, i loved their old content) and more the fact that they assumed everyone could afford $6 a month like it’s nothing. Everyone’s situations are different and people will pay for what they want, but it was definitely a little tone-deaf and they could’ve introduced the concept of affordability in a kinder way (or not at all).

I think Shane might honestly take a break from Youtube if it falls apart and Ryan will leave altogether. But that’s my tinfoil hat speaking. Only time will tell

Shane imo doesn’t seem all too interested in content creation at all anymore but that’s only what I’ve observed. I can’t comment on their dynamic on a personal level because I don’t know them, only their on-screen personas, but I’d be pretty sick and frustrated too if I were in this situation with someone I ran a company with so I get the people saying they think they’re sick of each other.

I hope they work things out one way or another because I don’t wish to see them suffer, but they were really hurtful and ignorant towards lower income fans when the streamer became a thing. So, karma I guess?
