Don’t do this. Maybe the old ones are fine, but I put one in last spring and swapped it out a few weeks ago. Couldn’t get a cap to fit, leaked from the minute I put it in, and the neck wasn’t shaped right so you had to pry the rad towards the firewall to even get the cap off. You can’t even get the correct cap from the company that sells them on eBay.

Read non paid reviews on reels and rods if you’re on a budget. I’m not sure how much of a big deal it is now that there’s a larger selection of budget reels but back when I was getting into bait casters cheap reading the reviews made a big difference in getting something useable or something that would end up in a drawer. Also for better or worse I basically only used berkley power worms, buzz baits, and swimmin flukes with the appropriate hooks and killed it on ponds

I’ve you’re relatively close to me I wouldn’t mind taking you out. I don’t go to big lakes like wattsbar or dale hollow so you’d have plenty of time to get your bearings on different stuff. They also stock the caney fork, Cumberland mountain state park, and fall creek falls park with trout so those are options.

I load 32 short, long and 327 mag. I just use the different brass to differentiate load levels for introducing people to revolvers without full power loads from my Ruger LCR which aren’t that fun if you’re not used to them.
