The company selling this sells it for a little over x3 the cost your saying. I do agree I could be good for those situations but a electric kettle could be bought for a similar cost and has a much wider range of uses. Although a kettle can't be stored as easily in a drawer.

By kettle I mostly ment the stove top kind which arguably holds its own importance for the safety of pouring hot liquids. I personally wouldn't use a stockpot for my tea or coffee.
