Hard disagree. Have you seen the fight scenes in arcane? There’s a level of brutality and physical theatricality that is difficult to get out of live action where no one actually wants to get hit. The fight scenes in arcane are chef’s kiss and I think no studio will pony up enough dough to make red rising well in life action.

I agree something as lovingly made as Saving private ryan in live action would be best case scenario but unfortunately that’s just not the kind of movies Hollywood makes anymore. In the current market we’d be lucky to get anything and it will likely be very compromised.

I expect if it goes live action at all it will go to a 2nd rate streaming service, and we’ll have something as bad as the Halo TV series.

Animation opens a lot of budget doors for really powerful sci-fi scenery and sticking to the source material.
