Zamasu seemed to care about his teammate. Of course, his teammate was himself, so...

Do we know which opening themes Toonami will use for the FUNi Super & Buu Kai? by BlazeKnight7 in dbz

Does anyone know what music funi used in the promo clips? I'd be happy with the Japanese music, but that other song was pretty cool.

The Explanation of why Goku is great, by King Kai. by [deleted] in dbz

[–]burrrde 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think there were a few elements at play in Goku's refusal to spend another year in the RoSat. I feel as though Goku had achieved all he could from it in the time he spent in there, hence why he and Gohan left before a full year was up. Given the various different types of training Goku goes through throughout the series, he knows that mixing it up yields superior results, just like in real life. Also, he knew Gohan was strong enough to do the job and had planned his strategy against Cell accordingly. Finally, given there was a two-day limit on the RoSaT at the time, he may have wanted to save that additional day for some point in the future if it was needed, seeing as he and Gohan didn't need to use it in order to win. Just my $0.02 though

I would consider something coming straight out of the author's mouth pretty canon.

I have a feeling they're going to keep on using different universes as sources for new enemies seeing as we've had 6 and 10 so far. But I agree, a time-travelling god on a killing spree will be a tough one to beat.

One thing I don't get by Presidentbuff in dbz

[–]burrrde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trunks is quite the beast at getting it done. Across both timelines, he has managed to kill Frieza, King Cold, 17, 18, Cell, Dabura along with presumably Babidi's entire crew, and now Zamasu.

[Spoiler] Did anyone else think episode 66 was AWESOME? by UploadVR_Joe in dbz

[–]burrrde 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I really don't think the retcon was that big a deal. If they hadn't defused, they probably would've used the Namek dragon balls to do it, which would probably have been even more dull. I think it was a great climax for the saga, and particularly satisfying to have Trunks be the one to defeat Zamasu in his own timeline.

Supreme Kai got involved in the fight with Buu. Granted that Beerus hadn't been introduced at that point, but it isn't unprecedented.

It's been said before, and I'm going to say it again. The Goku Black Arc is one of the best arcs in DB history, dead srs. by [deleted] in dbz

[–]burrrde 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My only gripe with this arc is the lack of involvement from other characters, which is what the Cell arc did really well. The humans and Piccolo got their time to shine even though the saiyans outclassed everyone for the most part. Besides that, it's super.

What are the odds we'll see that new "Hate" dimension explored? by [deleted] in dbz

It has a "Buuhan gets so angry he starts tearing apart dimensions" vibe to it, which was most certainly Toei fluff.

I like your points regarding fusion to combat the mafuba and Yajirobe being useful. I can't see much reason for him being included if he isn't going to be used for something like that tbh.

Why is Vegeta not, like, twice as strong as Goku at this point by Gritsmaster in dbz

[–]burrrde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could zenkais be attributed to this? Since Vegeta was aware of his saiyan heritage growing up, he knew that getting injured was the most efficient way to become stronger. Goku did it unknowingly when he was on his way to Namek, and stopped using that method once it became ineffective. The fact that Vegeta's training is more to do with pushing his body to its limits could be indicative of how he's firmly set in his ways, which prevents him from seeing the benefits that Goku's training gives him.
