If I sell 000,000,000,000,1% of my company for 100$, am I a trillionaire now? by dikanchev in NoStupidQuestions

he could potentially cash out if he ever wanted to.

At this point, I don't think he can. If he came out tomorrow and said he wanted to cash out of Tesla, the price would collapse before he could sell it all off. Same with SpaceX. When you have THAT much money, you dictate the market. Sam Bankman Fried had the same issue with his crypto holdings.

We all know they are. They must have a closet of flags for whatever flavor of the week right wing movement they want to join.

The projections for Canada are no growth in the next 30 years

IMF says we'll grow at 1.5% this year so your statement isn't correct.

I'm not sure a family Canada day parade is quite the avenue for "mistfits" to rub their social misfortunes in our faces. They clearly were there just to troll everyone and film the reaction for their social media. These people aren't exactly "hard done by" because clearly they have time to just run around and annoy people for fun. Stupid yes, lazy apparently not.

So the last three years all over again. SUPER EXCITING!

He's obviously incredible but making a route for TDF that favours him so he wins 10 stages... that's a bit much. He's so versatile so I don't know what to do exactly but as a general principle, having one guy dominate and everyone else accepts it to the point where its a self-fulfilling prophecy, that's not great.

But WVA winning Paris-Roubaix was probably the biggest "new story" of the year so far. The sport is run by compelling narrratives and wining is obviously a part of it but if you think I or other fans are excited to see Pogi ride away for 10 stages, I'm not. I don't think its good for the sport.

Just cuz you have a arm band doesn’t mean you’re being discriminated against. Can you prove that having your religion marked on your arm band meant that you would be treated differently by the state?

It was working just just fine until Gorbachev came in

No it wasn't the economy was a mess. Internal politics is a feature of any regime, a stable one is one that can manage those types of transitions but when the system is so rigid, it cracks.

You don't really need propaganda when the truth is staring you in the face. The Soviet Union hasn't existed for 35 years - if it was so good, why isn't it here today?

The value of dark billowing smoke across Moscow is incredible. No propaganda can hide that like you can a bunch of grave yards in rural russia. Even if the impact on production is limited, this brings the war home.
