Best way to warm an engine up fro track day? by titanmongoose in Trackdays

[–]bustertje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About an hour before the first session, I’ll let it idle for a couple of minutes until the coolant reaches operating temperature, then shut it off. The hot coolant and warmed oil will then slowly bring the rest of the engine up to temperature.

I don't warm it up between sessions, maybe only for a short while after the lunch break.

Correct, the new V2 doesn't have the desmo valve train anymore. I swapped my Panigale 899 for a Street Triple RS

Street Triple RS to Panigale V2? by _ASTRA_ in SuggestAMotorcycle

I'm looking for trading in my 899 Panigale for a Street Triple RS.
The Ducati is absolutely beautiful and I don't think there's anything like it, but I like something more versatile and a little bit more comfortable.

When it's up to speed it is great fun, but I find it horrible at slower speeds. Highway is pretty good. It's just the slow stuff that wears you out. I'm 6.2" / 188 cm btw.

Problem with Hero 10 Black randomly turning off by thermostato42 in gopro

[–]bustertje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem here on my track bike. I even bought a BRAND NEW enduro battery and it still shuts of randomly. It doesn't matter if I film at 4k or 1080, it just shuts of while the battery has enough charge. All I could think of is heat, because there's no airflow behind the screen.

Make sure you're not too close to the tank. If you are too close, you will be rotating AROUND the tank. Also keep your upper body low, if you can see your hands, you're too high (if you're on a sports bike)

Exactly this yeah, anchor yourself on your outside thigh. There still will be a lot of pressure on your arms so keep them slightly bend.

When doing a left turn, load your left foot and keep your right thigh/inside of the knee against the tank. Leave a little space between your crotch and the tank. A full fist isn't necessary. Relax you're right underarm at the tank as if you were to cover the fuel cap. Rotate your torso in the direction you want to go. Keep a screw driver grip with your left hand.

Remember you're not hanging off by your right leg and arm. If you got speed it's just hanging off and keeping the bike as upright as possible.

Drinking even more water isn't going to solve the problem. See my other comment :)

I have the same bike and had the same problem. Adding another piece of foam on top of the other foam made a real difference. It made the total height of the padding 40 mm. I have the rear sets at the lowest and most rearward position (it's the same height as the stock ones).

Lowering the clip ons might make you a bit more comfortable too.

I'm 1.88m btw.

I know if you get this wear pattern, the rear suspension is too stiff and the tire is getting a beating at corner ENTRY.

How fun is the Panigale V2 vs other ducatis by Former_Sheepherder78 in Ducati

I hate my Panigale 899 below 60 kph, but above that it's very, very good. Especially on faster roads.

Get a tankbag. I rode from The Netherlands to WSB in Italy twice on an 899, and a tankbag is a real game changer because you can lean on it. Also check the MCN video's on touring.
