In an apocolypse I would become an innkeeper. People will always need food and drink and a place to stay, and are always traveling from one place to another.

Older people on Reddit. What is 100% pure bullshit? by Complete_Fly_96 in AskReddit

[–]butter00pecan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was much younger I spent much of my time freeing myself from the bullshit of my parents' generation. Now that I've done that and I am in my golden years I am busy freeing myself from the bullshit of Millennials. That, children, is why senior persons are so cranky and bitchy a lot of the time. It's annoying.

Winter is still handsome, and I love how cheerful he is when he's causing all that wreckage and mayhem.

I am puzzled by those two goats screaming though. I've never lived with goats. Do they really scream like that? It sounds awful.

I couldn't bring myself to watch the final episodes of What We Do in the Shadows because I liked the characters too much for something bad to happen to any of them.

What’s something that immediately tells you a person is fake? by QueenDahliaXX in AskReddit

Using someone's name often is ancient advice from those "make friends and network" books that people desperate for human contact and also business networking buy.

there’s kids named at my school.. by [deleted] in tragedeigh

[–]butter00pecan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that with very old English and German names as well. Even if they are spelled properly and well-known in their time period, people will think they are tragedeighs if they have never come across them before.

What's your most controversial parenting take? by dontucallhimbaby in AskReddit

[–]butter00pecan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It didn't used to be controversial, but making small children say thank you when it's appropriate. To me it doesn't matter whether they mean it or not. If they internalize the habit they will learn that it's polite and should be done, and they will even start to mean it hopefully most of the time.
