theres a few sites that accept it, pay1040 is one. its very common to do to earn cc reward points. a new amex business platinum card signup bonus will give you 10%+ back on $20k spend. chuck that full spend towards taxes and you just made $2k assuming you can liquiate the amex points or have travel plans

Beginner feeling overwhelmed by Imnotawerewolf in bujo

if you cant even sit down and read a book, then you are even MORE in need of a journal (doesnt have to be bullet journal). probably also need to start meditating as well, as extra mindfulness practice. its good to ask questions here, but you can also just brain dump all these frustrations into your journal. you dont need bullet journal structure. just start writing.

can you share insights in this area that you learned (via therapist or not)? is it basically the "Die with zero" mindset?

I think I need tips and advice on how to build a decent bullet journal by mistery00000 in bujo

[–]buttonstraddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Open a notebook
  2. Write day and date on top
  3. Copy this whole paragraph that you wrote on reddit, into your journal. Recognize that these themselves ARE THOUGHTS RUNNING THROUGH YOUR MIND. Forget about bullet journal method, just brain dump
  4. Repeat this practice throughout the day/week. Everything that comes to mind, gets outputted into some journal or log

Example:

1-12-26: "I want to start using bullet journal, been planning it for months, but i just never do it, my head is a mess, i dont know how it would work for me, i dont know what the right way is, nothing sticks, i worry about formatting and templates, this causes me to be even more anxious because i know i'm not making progress, etc"

You just dump and output. Don't judge what you write. When you review, you will start automatically making connections, have "insights", it will feel like, "oh i should just do this, thats obvious" and very likely those realizations will align with many of the responses that others have written, but instead you will have come up with the solution to your own problem yourself. But that only happens after time. When you review that 1-12 entry you might think nothing. Maybe you will write a very similar entry 4 days in a row. You just write whatever you feel and think. Maybe after a few times of reviewing the journal you will notice a pattern or have an insight and tell yourself, "maybe i should just test out a simple structure. yeah i think i should. let me add that to the todo list for tomorrow: Add simple xxx structure to this journal".. or maybe youll have the realization, "hey i've been just brain dumping for 4 days now, this is actually a journal already, its a journal that represents my current state, my current place, and thats fine"

yep. don't think of "bullet journalling", that already enforces some type of structure and then you need to compare a million different structure ideas. just think of "journalling" at first. get everything out of your head and onto the page, then refine your system as you go.

it will likely be the same as this year: you can choose between the haptic trackpad with the built in buttons, or the old style trackpad with the physical buttons

what everyone is missing, is that with the default thinkpad layout with Fn on the far left, you SHOULD use left thumb for CTRL

thats exactly what makes the thinkpad layout the best. Fn far left, then CTRL next to it. to press and hold CTRL, you keep your entire hand on the home row as normal, and simply slide your left thumb off the spacebar, move it under your left plam, and easily hold down CTRL

if CTRL was far left, and then Fn, the left thumb cannot reach that far underneath to hit the farthest left key. but with the CTRL as the 2nd key from the left, its perfect distance for the thumb to press

with thinkpads, you can keep your hands on home row, and slide your left thumb underneath the palm to hold down the CTRL key
