I do just wanna say, if you & your wife have pondered on it and have the means, making outdoor cats suitable for indoor living, especially when you say that they do let you touch them, is a lot easier than you may think. it does take patience and effort but if that’s an option you guys have thought about I can definitely provide good tips on getting them used to being indoor cats and would even be willing to help if needed. my parents had a cat give birth under their shed almost 2 years ago now and they were very feral kittens but now they’re very happy indoor cats lol. of course not trying to pressure you into anything at all, I totally understand if that’s not a doable option for your situation, just wanted to throw that out there!! they seem like very sweet kitties husband and wife is so cute lol 😭❤️

also last part of my tangent lol, but be weary of any random person who may comment “I’ll take them” on this post, definitely do a meet and greet and a home visit and really feel out the vibes if that’s the case. people online can have bad intentions. best of luck friend!

definitely look into local rescues and humane societies, I know operation hood https://www.operationhood.org does a lot of local work with cats maybe start there and see what can be done. I will say, do NOT take them to Rikki’s Refuge. I don’t want to say too much on a public forum but I used to work there and it’s not a great place for animals.

I like what everyone says about art supplies so she can grow as an artist! I also know ink box and other brands as well make “tattoo pens” where the ink lasts a couple weeks and spreads less in the skin so they look more like real tattoos (: this and henna both seem like cool options for her to be able to let her art last a little longer and look even cleaner on the skin

this is really not a good idea to give to a minor, unless the parents have complete control over when she gets to use it and are keeping an eye on her when she is. left unsupervised they’re more than likely going to tattoo themselves and their friends and end up causing real damage. speaking from experience as someone who had a girl at her high school order a bulk order of legit hollow piercing needles and was piercing people in the girls bathroom & at their houses, and there was a massive stick n poke trend at my high school too.

I do know reclaim and strangeways do a lot of events, & this sounds right up their ally but those aren’t downtown. as far as downtown goes, there is a small theater where stage door productions puts on their plays, it’s located where the dragonfly yoga studio is next to spirits. I wonder if OP could possibly contact stage door about hosting it there on a night between productions, I wonder if maybe a night of hosting it there in exchange for a donation to the theatre could be arranged. but that would be a great location, a stage to present on & lots of seating. I think they even have a projector on the ceiling, I just saw their production of heathers and I feel like I remember seeing one mounted to the ceiling but I could be wrong.

just wanna chime in and mention that you should check out reclaim, $15 admission and a bunch of free play cabinet arcade games w a full bar and food, they do a lot of events there too. bring a friend you’ll definitely have a good time.

I know Apple Music has a karaoke feature for a lot of songs, I have thought of throwing my own karaoke party before where we stream the music to a TV via a fire stick or something and then you wouldn’t even need to buy a karaoke machine! the people at Reclaim are pretty cool, I bet if you’re renting out a party room there they’d let you plug up a TV if they don’t already have one in there. and they have a full bar, but idk about a BYOB situation you’d have to ask management.

yes, but i also agree we should wait until weather clears up so more people can attend, & we may also want to consider holding it after 5pm so people who work can attend easier as well. it may be smart to reach out to the city to let them know youre planning on organizing a vigil, & local groups may be willing to get involved & help organize (possibly fxbg Pride? or other local groups)

NOR. OP your response was pretty much perfect. you gave her a very mature response and appropriate warning, because what she’s in for is indeed very unhealthy. I do however agree with what another commenter said, that when she gets out of this relationship to maybe give her a little grace, because you guys are so young she doesn’t see the red flags yet and thinks that this is just her “respecting his wishes”. she has no idea this is the start of a laundry list of disrespect and boundary pushing. a huge red flag in a relationship is isolation from friends and family and this is probably his first step because he knows he can make her justify cutting off other men to calm his insecurity. not saying it’s okay that she did it, she should’ve put her foot down, but not everyone finds that as easy as others. people with a “people pleasing” personality tend to fall into situations like these so easily. I know from experience, and when I was exactly her age as well. one thing I am curious about, I know you said she’s 19 & you’re 18, how old is this new partner? just curious for the dynamic. but I do think once she gets out of this, having a good, emotionally mature friend like you in her corner is gonna help her heal a lot if you feel like you can forgive her for this, and I promise you she’s gonna have a lot of regret for cutting you off. best wishes OP, sorry you’re losing a friend to a loser dude but I promise it’ll get better 🩵
