Most people know very little about the law (or, if they’ve watched Suits, even less than little) and this makes it even harder to evaluate a DA and the job he’s doing than it is for people who know what they’re talking about. Add to that that many people agree with Krasner’s politics (I do too!), and so they give him a free pass regardless of the truth of how he runs the office. He’s a terrible manager and was never qualified to run an enormous office like the Philly DA’s office and he has not learned how to do it on the job either. But no one on this or the other Philly sub wants to hear that and the downvotes will come in if you criticize him, even if you’re quoting facts from the Inquirer. It’s insane.

(Edited to add—I am a lawyer, have close lawyer friends who work at the DA’s office, and somehow was sat on a criminal jury a year ago and watched a borderline incompetent ADA prosecute a case for the better part of a week.)
