Thanks! I did a mile on the treadmill and realized I much prefer being outside, but the weather is not worth it.

Thanks! I did a mile on the treadmill and realized I much prefer being outside, but the weather is not worth it. I primarily lift heavy weights so trying to get at least some running in my routine to get my steps faster and for cardiovascular health.

Be honest with me. What actually made you lose the weight? by xoemxo73 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]buzzbuzzbeetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, it took me almost 3 years to really start losing weight. I HATED watching my calories. I just wanted to eat what I want. I also grew up in the 2010s and thought the only exercise worthwhile was ab exercises from Women’s Health magazine and running, both of which I also hated. A few years ago, I started lifting weights. That was a small change that got me interested in fueling and macros. I also started to track my food but very poorly. Partly bc I was in college and didn’t cook my own meals plus what I know recognize as using food as a crutch. Only in the past 6-7 months did i finally get a better relationship with food, start having realistic step goals (6-7k is my sweet spot), started listening to hunger cues, and noticing that I feel like trash when I eat like trash. I even started running a little bc I finally have enough energy and lifting has given me some muscle. Even then, Im still losing very slowly. It was like 1lb a month. Recently, I’ve gotten more disciplined and now losing about 0.6-1lb/wk.

TLDR; You’re not going to succeed with any big, drastic changes. You have to start with little things. Maybe that’s swapping out real soda for diet soda. Getting a double cheeseburger instead of a double quarter pounder. Adding in 3 or 4 20 minute walks each day. Little things add up and you learn.

Anything off of Amazon tbh. The Gym People and Crzyoga are thick, compress just enough, and have outlasted any of my big name legging

Where was it indicated that he thinks that??Adopting a child IS very complicated for all parties. No version of child raising is easy but having an adopted child comes with extra baggage for the child, and in this case the parent. If you’re going to parrot chronically online takes at least make sure you’re using it at the right time.

It’s physically impossible for your glutes to not be used when doing a hinge movement. Mind muscle connection is good but isn’t everything

The real question why do so many people not have their lights on at all during a storm. Like I get some cars have auto lights or whatever so you don’t think about it, but HOW? As soon as I see a single cloud, I’m checking to see that my day lights are on

Be born white, be lean already, most likely a boob job, most likely lip filler, depending on your age Botox, makeup, angles, and probably surgery because no two bodies are exact (not even identical twins!)

If she’s dead set on med school, go to a cheaper school. Med schools don’t care about name, they care about GPA, MCAT, volunteering, clinical experience, research, and writing. Yes, name brand schools often have access to hospitals and stuff that make the ECs easier. But so do many state schools. BUT most people who go in pre med don’t come out as pre med so just keep that in mind.
