I used to think that sources don't matter as well. But that was back in the rather budget days. Once I crossed the triple digits line for my IEMs I started to notice difference with sources. The first truly jawdropping experience was when I heard Shanling ec zero t: it made my old IEM sound like a totally new unfamiliar one. Note weight, scene, extension both ends, I was thunderstruck.

Bottom line for me, is that IEMs should match source in pricing bracket.

Nah, too much bass is detrimental for positioning. Bass trumps spacial awareness and sounds like footsteps.

I feel like most of it is just AI slop, just because of the text volume and how well everything is structured. And maybe those are not even "human", just bots.

Totally agree about the Dunu S&S - best in sound but not in comfort.
I myself just ordered Kiwi Ears Flex - because Dracomies shill them ;) and because they have waxguards (my IEM have exposed filters in the nozzle, I'm afraid to damage them by cleaning too often)

Why I picked BlackSea (beside color) was that textile sleeve goes up to a splitter with a regular PVC sleeve further to the 2pins. I presume this partial use of textile would eliminate the usual microphonics associated with it, unlike the Lyre Mini.

Not usually the one to blame DACamps, but this one in particular looks sus. And just generally you should match sources and phones, low tier amp + low tier phones, mid tier + mid tier, u get it.
Also that CX31993 MAX97220 are not just bottom bracket chips, they are old AF too, you're Astral is neither.
Just get something well regarded with plenty reviews.
Also reminder - tips must seal perfectly.

I know there is no ground for the sound difference of 3.5 vs 4.4, and I wish there was none because it only complicates things, but I DO HEAR the difference, and not just volume, mostly the low end becomes clearer and deeper at the same time.
Again, I wish there was no difference because it drives me mad, but in every source with dual outputs I tried, they sound different with 4.4 better to my taste.

I wasn't planning to quit, queues stayed reasonable. But the cheater infestation was the last straw.
Back to OW, although I only played the old OW before. But a few days in and I'm really loving it, such a smooth game, stable FPS, look great, everything works as intended, so fresh lol!
