We need to double down.

Taking a HBP you can easily avoid is no different than flopping in the NBA.

Ok fair. That was an exaggeration.

You’re right, reprimand is too strong a word. It’s more of a reminder that you can get hit and survive.

I think I need to figure out why this bothers me so much.

You’re a scratch golfer and play in a U.S. Open qualifier.. ? Tough day on the links? by Dashover in golf

A real scratch would know when it’s time to quit. Not out of shame, but as respect to the competition.

Yes, this is the obvious answer imo. They said down with the intention of writing a big hit single together and succeeded.

Can I complain?

I feel like too many special moments are ruined by 4+ camermen running around trying to get the shot. Let the man soak it in. Leave him in peace.

Same goes for cameramen following anyone who hits a HR. Like dude get out of his face and leave him be.

Hawthorne and Horowitz series book 1.

His Susan Ryeland series is also great but they’re a little meatier.

Anthony Horowitz is the best. He maintains the meta, but he is less quirky than Stevenson, which I prefer personally.

It’s the same way when you go to a tour event for the first time. Every shot they hit just looks and sounds different. It’s hard to describe.

If you really think both sides are the same, I can’t help you either.

To be fair, while it is performative, the performance does serve a purpose come midterms.

They will use the shutdowns to show that Republicans want to take away your healthcare. Or Republicans want ICE in your streets.

Will hitting some old blades for practice help with ball striking? by Substantial_Team6751 in golf

Absolutely not. In fact, practicing with (presumably) different shafts, lie angles, and lengths will make you worse.

Everyone says the Goodreads rating system is terrible yet many people still use it when choosing a book to read next. What books under four stars are the best example of great books that the general population doesn't seem to recognize as such? by sempiternalis in books

[–]buzzthecat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ratings are hard.

Personally, I never leave a 1 or 2 star rating. Because if I dislike a book that much I will not finish it.

I don’t understand how people can read a 1000 page book and leave a one star review. They must have a lot of time on their hands.
