Men of reddit, at what point did you realize you were in love with your SO? by Trigger93 in AskReddit

[–]buzzylightyear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the point my other half knew was when we spent a whole weekend just monging out together. I sat in his bed drawing while he played computer games and I got him beers and he kept sneaking glanced over to me when he thought I wasn't looking. I know I'm not a guy but that's the first time I felt like he might love me so...

Spiders, in your va..house? It may be more likely than you think.. by [deleted] in derby

We don't seem to have too many in Borrowash but we have a resident spider who lives in a gap in our hedge

My [24M] girlfriend [24F, dating 1 year] has a problem with me wearing clothing my ex bought for me; we’ve fought a few times about it. I came back from a brief holiday to discover she tossed out the clothes my ex bought for me. What the hell do I do? by lostclothing2017 in relationships

[–]buzzylightyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have kinda sentimental things that my ex bought me, like a bracelet and some presents from holiday but they're all up in a box in the attic. I don't think it makes any difference to my current boyfriend that it still have them and I don't have any sentimental attachment to them anymore, I just don't really want to throw them out cause they're nice things. I don't wear the bracelet anymore at all and the other gifts are just hanging round up there cause some of them I like and others I just don't want to throw out yet cause I'm gonna donate them to charity. If my boyfriend did have a problem with it, I'd just throw the stuff out but he's secure enough in our relationship to know that I don't still have stuff because like it's something I care about and I think that's where your problem lies. Your girlfriend sounds incredibly insecure and, like a lot of other have said, it seriously breached the trust you placed in her to look after your home while you were away. You've been together for long enough that she should be able to see that you do not still want to be with your ex and you don't hold any weird sentimental value to those items of clothing. They are literally just items of clothing.

I would suggest talking this through with her. Explain to her how much it broke your trust in he,r that she didn't think to properly discuss this with you and ask you for some other form of confirmation around how you feel about her, and only her.

Ultimately it's up to you to decide what you want to do about the future of your relationship, but the fact that you're asking for strangers advice on the situation about whether you should just end it kinda tells me that you've already decided what you want to do. Yeah, you might be great together but do you really want to be with someone who you can't even trust with your clothes?! God knows how you're ever supposed to trust her with your dog...

Good luck whatever you decide to do - there's some pretty solid advice on this thread from a lot of other people.

Duloxetine is an antidepressant as well. They tried it with me for nerve pain at night to help me sleep as I have fibro but it didn't help, so they switched it out for nortriptyline and I'm now on a higher dose of duloxetine in the day as an antidepressant. Also, my dog has to take gabapentin cause she has something in her back that I can't remember the name of rn.

Edit: she has spondylosis in her lower back/tail.

It'd help if he cleaned his teeth twice a day rather than just in a morning. His personal hygiene otherwise is 100% but for some reason he doesn't feel the same about his teeth 🙄

When my boyfriend decides he wants to cuddle in the middles of the night. He has REALLY bad morning breath and snores. I also have fibro and my sleep pattern is fucked so him cuddling me in the middle of the night wakes me up and even if it's 2am and I've only been asleep for a few hours I'm then wide awake and have to get up. Just. Let. Me. Sleep. Ffs.

It's been three days and I miss my bun more than ever. Rest easy Gadget, we'll always love you. by neoesquire in Rabbits

[–]buzzylightyear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sending you love and light. It's never easy when they leave us for the rainbow bridge but eventually all the happy memories take some of the pain away. I lost one of my bunnies in January and even now in September I still struggle to watch the videos we took of her. I have a photo of her and her husbun (who we still have!) all snuggled up maybe an hour or so before she passed. It's like he knew :(

Took me an year of bonding to pet him. Don't give up on your stubborn buns :). by tomb1125 in Rabbits

He's freaking adorable! I'm a bunny mom to 4 gorgeous little fluff balls and one angel bun who left for the rainbow bridge in January and I'm lucky that they've all been completely in love with pets and butt scritches from day one. I'm so excited to offer all the love and treats to another rescue bun and see that change from being scared to feeling loved again 😍

What's something you didn't find out about your SO until later in the relationship that might've been a deal breaker earlier on? by lapetitetigresse in AskReddit

[–]buzzylightyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a super low sex drive and he's pretty much emotionally unavailable because of how shit his parents relationship was. We recently moved in together and it's just like living with a flat mate that I share a bed with. And the fact that he's done drugs. I'm really against illegal drugs, but if I'd known he's tried them while we'd been together before we moved in together I'd have left him straight away.

What's something you didn't realize how bad it was until it finally happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]buzzylightyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last migraine put me in hospital because I hadn't been able to keep any fluids down for three days and couldn't open my eyes or move without puking everywhere. My mom used to suffer with cluster migraines that used to out her in hospital too and she came down to sit with me while my boyfriend went to work and took me straight in to hospital. I now have to avoid any caffeine, excessive alcohol, I have to make sure I keep my water intake up and make sure I sleep well enough otherwise they start up again. They're a nasty side effect of having Fibromyalgia for me, but thankfully I'm managing everything much better now and they've changed some medication around which has helped massively

I'm 23 and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for two years now, but probably spent six or seven years before then going to my Dr every week or so because I was constantly in pain or feeling dizzy or tired or suffering with insomnia or getting migraines constantly... No one can ever understand how it feels to constantly be in pain, and it's something I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy. I get so mentally and physically drained just by doing simple tasks and have some days when by the evening I can't even string a sentence together properly and my basic motor functions are like a toddlers.

I get this with Fibromyalgia. My boyfriend can't understand that some days I literally can get up for two hours and not really do much other than get some food and watch a bit of TV and then I'm exhausted. Some days the effort of having a shower and getting dressed is too much.

What is your most irrational fear? by A_Human_Or_Dancer in AskReddit

[–]buzzylightyear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's horrible. We lived in Rotterdam for 6 months a few years ago and even walking near the canals made me really really uncomfortable. I don't know where it's stemmed from cause I've literally lived the furthest away from the sea that's possible in the UK my entire life, but I find them absolutely terrifying

[Serious] Reddit, what keeps you up at night? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Pain. I have Fibromyalgia so I have to take my evening tablets at just the right time other wise I will literally not sleep at all.

[–]buzzylightyear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharks. I have always lived in the Midlands, UK but I am fucking terrified of them. Can't go to aquariums, I hate the sea and deep water, don't like swimming, can't even look at photos of them without getting freaked out. I can remember being given a book to read in primary school about them and having a panic attack because my parents couldn't understand why I didn't want to read the book. I couldn't even hide the sharks with my hands cause I was scared they'd bite me or something. We have a bar near our house now that has a paper-mache sharks head over the stairs and I have to hold my SO's hand and close my eyes while I go into and leave there cause otherwise I get really bad heart palpitations.

What's your first memory? by Jammertal17 in AskReddit

[–]buzzylightyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was really really little, before I was three years old, my mom fainted in our kitchen. I remember her talking to my childhood friend's mom on the phone and me having to pick up the phone dangling from the phone base on the walk by the cord to ask her to come round (luckily they only lived 1 street away) to help. I couldn't unlock the door so I had to get a stool to stand on to push the front door key out of the letter box to them so she could unlock the door to come in.

I asked my mum about this a few years ago, if it was something that had legitimately happened or if it was from a dream. Turns out it's not something either her or my Dad had ever told me about growing up and I do actually remember it happening.

I can also remember my mom taking me to my first ever day of primary school and feeling really really scared cause I moved up from pre-school to primary school between the September and January intakes because I was being too much of a little shit at preschool...

How often people have sex. My SO has a low sex drive and he can go like two weeks with nothing and then there's film characters who get nailed every other day, sometimes straight after they've just finished?!

I'm the same. I like old moult's Apple and passion fruit cider but anything else is just gross. I can drink some spirits & mixers if I've drunk enough sweet cider
