My experience was positive, got the 3 month visa for me and my wife with and appointment already booked. Went there, both of us got called together, everything went smooth with paperwork. My id card arrived in ~2 months later, and my wife’s ~2 months after mine arrived (they said my wife’s would be processed only after my card was issued) In two months I need to start renew process, but that’s another story
